SOURCE: 07 gsxr 600 no power to the fuel pump or coils put

Start with the basics. Check the fuses, then use a digital multi meter to check continuity from the fuse panel to the fuel pump and coils. If you have good power/ground/continuity, the next step is locating a complete wiring diagram to find out what other components are in the loop. But if you start with the basics first, you won't be dropping hundreds in parts for a $.12 fuse.

On a 2005 Suzuki C90t bike not charging. Stator and rectifier check out ok?

there is no test for a reg/ rectifier. stator can be checked for resistance and static tested for output. factory service manual will provide details. if stator passes both tests then replace regulator.

Not charging

check fuse on positive to battery,if not blown the check feed wire from stator plate to regulator should be around 80 to 120 volts ac.
if low voltage then you will need a new stator/alternator.www.thepitstopcardiff.co.uk 999pounds 50cc lifan on the road 3yr warranty

Hi, I'm trying to figure out how to bench test a rectifier on an 06 GSXR 600. I know my stator is gone but I need to test the rectifier to see if that's next but I'm not sure of the exact...

you can't really test them, best bet is it always replace both stator and reg/rec. it insures that that both major parts in the charging system is new and working

My 98 merauder discharges when it gets hot out

check wires from stator coil normally 3 the same colour disconnect plug and test from stator side wires should have continuity between each other but not to earth if no continuity or going to earth replece or rewind stator if tests ok run bike with headlight on light should get brighter as you slowly increase revs if however lights go brighter and then goes dimmer as revs increase replace regulator rectifier

Alternator don't charge the battery, change carbon?

It will be a permanent magnet alternator, there are no carbon brushes, you will need a manual for that model and start checking resistances with a multi meter.
without being able to tell you exact readings...
there will be three wires the same color coming from the stator(usually all yellow or all white) the resistance between any pair must be the same, and none of them should indicate to ground. When the bike is running any pair of these will produce about 50volts AC.
If this checks out you probably need a new regulator

My suzuki drz 400 seems to drain the battery and and wont keep any sort of charge, ive even bought a couple new batteries and had the same problem

check that all the wire connections are good, start at the 3 stator leads and follow it to the rectifier and to the battery, also if you have a multimeter, rev the bike up to 3000 revs and hook up the multimeter to the battery (positive to positive and neg - neg), this will give you the charging voltage, should be between 13-15 volts dc, if its not, it could be a bad stator, but is more likely to be the regulator rectifier unit

Electrical problem

Suzukis aren't the only bikes with this problem. Certain Hondas are notorious for stator shorting. If you can get the temperature down you will be able to get MANY more miles out of the stator. I'm referring to the stator temperature. If you have any heavy load accessories (extra lights, boom box, etc.) you will need to get rid of them. If the battery is ancient it will really load up the alternator. Check out the rectifier. My last BMW had a small daylight running headlight that drew about a third of the night time headlight wattage. If all is well electrically, install an aftermarket oil cooler on the engine.
