Hi, Anonymous for this situation I would call my local dealer or reputable shop's service/parts department and inquire about any possible quick fix, answers, or parts inquiry. If necessary, transport your bike to the dealer or shop and have a professional technician take it for a test drive, if it is in running condition, and give you a written estimate of repairs and answer any specific questions you may have about your issue. Auto transmision grinds in reverse, put in dr grinding stops but doesn't move

sounds like it is time to get the transmission rebuilt. usually when they go out you will only have reverse. It sounds like the oil pump has exploded inside the trans. sorry for the bad news

Good day , my problem i my suzuki forenza 2006 i change the oil transmision automatic ok, before of the introducing new oil not running en D only reverse help me please bery thanks.

If i read this correctly your saying you changed the transmission fluid and now it will only engage reverse. The friction plates inside the transmission are no good anymore. You need to have the transmission overhauled.

My car wont move forward or reverse

Chances are is that the torque converter needs to be replaced. However, the transmssion on this vehicle are only serviceable by transmision shops. No regular mechanic will open up the transmission. When the torque converter fails (clutch and plates shutters to small pieces) the debri flows in the transmision thereby potentially destroying the gears and/or clogging the filter and pump. Go straight to a reputable transmission shop and let them correctly diagnose the transmission.

Transmision stays in 1st and speedometer doesnt work. Reverse is good. transmision problem and spedometer issues started at the same time today.

There is a speed sensor that has gone out on your car. This will need to be replaced to gain all gears in the transmission .It will be located in the transmission, mounted on the out side. You can change tis your self.

DTC # 1 P1249 Code

P1249 does NOT appear in any of my charts or troubleshooting information. The codes in the P1200 section are for fuel delivery/mixture.
Are you sure that code P1249 was present?
It is unlikely that an engine trouble code on a Powerstroke would affect the transmission operation. R, 1 and 2 are manually selectable gears. If your trans won't shift into 3rd(direct) when in Drive, there may be a problem with the direct clutches and/or sprag clutch. This is a big problem area with your series of transmission. How many transmisions have you gone through so far? I've known quite a few people who have gone through 3 or 4 transmissions before the truck ever hit 60K miles, especially the 2001's. There are many updates available for your transmision and the Ford dealer may not know about a lot of them because they are strictly aftermarket, and they work!
