My honda phantom ta 150 refuse to start

I was cruising and all of a sudden the ignition cut off like there is no fuel. I have confirmed a free flow of fuel but it still refused to start.

SOURCE: hi, i have a 2003 gsxr-1000 and when I go to start

check for a big bluish spark...redish purple is no good, and also just see if the bike will push start if it does, but doesnt quite run right, then go to Auotzone and buy some Sea Foam pour 1/3 can into 2 gallons fuel and drive it around for 10 to 15 miles and let the stuff clean up the injectors.

the carb has sucked in all the muck and garbage from the bottom of your tank take the carb apart and blow out the jets

Hi, Dhananjay and the usual suspects are:
1. Spark plugs in bad condition or have an improper gap or are partially fouled.
2. Spark plug cables in bad condition.
3. Battery nearly discharged, should have 12.5 volts.
4. Discharged battery, check battery terminals for damage or corrosion, check the battery cables at "BOTH" ends for loose, corroded, or broken connectors, "INSIDE" and outside the cable harness, perform connector wiggle test and check cables with an ohmmeter if necessary.
5. Throttle controls not adjusted correctly.
6. Water or dirt in the fuel system.
7. Water or dirt in the carburetor.*
8. Intake air leak.
9. Fuel tank vent hose and vapor valve plugged, or fuel line closed off, restricting fuel flow.*
10. Enricher valve inoperative.*
11. Engine lubricant to heavy (winter operation).
12. Ignition is not functioning properly (possible sensor failure).
13. Faulty ignition coil.
14. Valves sticking.
* Carbureted models.

Why is my bike cutting out

Hi, Michael the following applies to carbureted also fuel injected models and the usual suspects are:
1. Severely discharged or damaged battery, 9 volts or lower.
2. Failed alternator/generator and or voltage regulator.
3. Loose or corroded battery terminals and or cables especially the "NEGATIVE" cable, look for loose, corroded, or broken connectors inside the cable harness at "BOTH" ends.
4. Failed main circuit breaker or ignition switch, check for loose connections and continuity.
5. Failed system and or ignition relay, check for continuity.
6. Failed ignition coil, ignition/electronic module.
7. Failed CKP, CPS, CMP, MAP, TPS, or BAS sensor, corroded, loose or broken wire connector pins/sockets.
8. Throttle cables and or idle speed improperly adjusted hot idle speed should be 950 RPM to 1000 RPM.
9. Air/fuel mixture screw improperly adjusted.
10. Water or dirt in the fuel system, carburetor or filter.
11. Restricted, blocked or kinked fuel line.
12. Fuel tank empty.
13. Gas cap is not venting properly or fuel tank venting system blocked.
14. A failed fuel pump, pressure regulator and or fuel injectors.
15. Vacuum line from intake manifold to petcock broken, cracked, or not attached, carburetor vent line plugged.
16. Needle and seat stuck closed in the float bowl.

It sounds like the fuel filter may be blocked and restricting free flow of fuel. The pump may be supplying enough gas to fill the lines at a slower pace than the engine uses it up because the filter is clogged. Try changing the filter first. If you are able to check the fuel flow when cranking the engine while not creating any sparks, that would be the safest way to check for fuel flow.

When i push the choke lever to the top position the bike cuts out

Hello, it sounds like a fuel delivery problem. Start with the fuel petcock, make sure it is clean and gas is flowing freely to the carb. Check for vacuum leaks.
If that is ok, the idle/pilot jets & circuits are probably clogged & will need to be cleaned. I hope this helps.

The power supplied to the fuel pump, ignition coil, fuel injectors, and parts of the power module is controlled by the logic module through the Automatic Shutdown Relay (ASD); the idea is to shut off fuel pressure and the ignition systems when the key is turned off to prevent fires, dieseling, and other problems.

The ASD relay is closed (allowing power to flow through it) when the ignition is first turned on. If the signal from the ignition reference is lost while the engine is running, or if the turbo boost pressure reaches and exceeds the over boost cut-off point, the logic module cuts power to the ASD, which in turn removes power from the fuel pump, ignition coil, injectors and those parts of the power module. This causes the engine to shut down.

Failure of the automatic shutdown relay is often shown as inexplicable stalling or refusal to start.

It could be electrical. Take a 12volt bulb on flexible wires. When the engine cuts out, check you have power to the ignition system.
That may either sort it or relove that from the equasion.

first you need to isolate the problem whether it is fuel or ignition related. if there is no-spark when it quits then it's in the ignition, if there is no gas when it happens then it's in the fuel system.
if the ignition system then you have to check the coil and distributor ( the igniter in the distributor is known for cutting off and restart after it cool down ).
if the fuel system then you need to check the fuel pump relay and the fuel pump for defective.

My 13hp honda generator won't run.I have cleaned the fuel bowl,new plug,air cleaner,evan removed air cleaner assembly off side of engine,I can get it to start,after much cranking,but it will not run for...

You cleaned the fuel bowl? Was there any dirt, etc, in it? How does the fuel line look? How about the bottom of the fuel tank? How old is the fuel?

From your description, it 'sounds' like a fuel system problem. If it's a Honda EU3000is, it has Electronic Ignition, and electronic ignition usually just goes out all the way, not slowly.

The fuel line is small, and easily obstructed. Does fuel flow when the fuel line is removed from the carburetor? After the generator starts, runs, then dies, remove the float bowl. How much gas is present?

Observe the float. See if it's in good repair.
Check the float needle. See if the rubber (Neoprene) tip is squished, or is still in good shape.
Could be that when gas fills the float bowl, the float raises, then gets stuck in the up position, cutting off the gas flow.

1995 honda accord cutting out

Honda has issued a recall on several models which have problems with the ignition switch. The recall includes vehicles from about 1992 through 2004 ( I'm really not sure of the years. ) Do a search for Honda ignition switch recall and you'll find some links. When you call the dealer I would suggest that you have your VIN handy so he can confirm your vehicle. This is a recall and should not cost you a dime for the repair.
