How can I remove the old gear shift knob and install a new one in my 2000 SLS Cadilac

There is either a small 'c' clip on the front/bottom side or it has an iternal snap ring. If it is the 'c' clip you should see a small slot that you can pop the clip out. If it has the internal one, it pulls straight up and off. Warning: Do not twist it, you will break something expensive in the shifter. From the service manual....

Detaching the shift control knob from the shift lever may require a large amount of physical effort.
Do not twist the shift control knob while pulling.
Firmly grasp the shift control knob.
Pull straight up to detach from the shift lever.

Installation Procedure
Align the shift control knob to the shift lever.
Firmly press down on the shift control knob in order to attach to the shift lever. An audible sound will be heard when the internal clip is fully seated.

Not sure if this is right or not but we found a hole behind the sprocket cover that seemed to be the tranny fill.

I require a service manual for a 2008 Pagsta Cruisa DD250E

Hi Ron.

As you probably know there is no documentation available for Pagsta motorbike. The manual for Pagsta Crusa is not even available for sale. Pagsta is a small manufacturer and does not distribute technical documentation.

The only thing you can do is calling or contacting Spot On Motorbike, which is Pagsta authorized distributor. They may be able to provide technical documentation. Here Australian phone contact: 1300 133 587 Here contact page.

Regards.

I have hilti te 72 it works but will not hammer

More than likely the con rod is broken. To check remove the shift lever on top by removing the center phillips head screw. then with internal snap ring pliers remove the snap ring.put your phillips screw back in with out the shift lever. Take a pair of pliers and grab the screw and pull the shift boss out. You then can see if the con rod is broken or not. The bad news is those parts are hard to come by.

On the column shift lever does not accuate transmission shift when moved.

its probably a gigantic piece of ****, just like my f350, ford used a cable style shifter and a retarted lever system in the steering colum. when i opened my colum, i found about 3 lbs of aluminum dust from what used to be the shifter lever inside the colum housing the slop in the lever caused the shift cable to travel too far and snapped it so i replaced it just to have the cable snap again. i guess im going to have to change the entire colum.

What holds the shift pedal onto the shift shaft?

A 6mm thread by 22mm length flange bolt available at any hardware store. When the engine lever is in the correct position the bolt is tightened to compress the lever on the shift shaft. Now if you are talking about the foot shift lever, that is held on by a thin washer and an external snap ring.
