Hi, Chevree you may have a faulty ignition switch or a grounded neutral light circuit for this scenario you will need your service/owners manual if you can't find the first and best tool you ever bought for your Yamaha, despair not, for a mere $0 you can download another one. Hey Peter.. I am just making a swag.. your switch may have gone bad..(they usually go bad when you try to use them).. I would take it to a REPUTABLE qualified professional. You will be glad in the long run.

1995 lumina wont start or crank over

Could be the neutral safety switch, or the security system, or a wiring problem.
If the security light stays on, you may have a problem with the VATS system reading the chip in the key. Try a spare key.
If it cranks in neutral and not in park, the neutral safety switch may be faulty.
