2006 road king classic I am putting on rear and back tiers with my friends tier machine and I need tork spects for axels rotors and lower fork bolts and brake calabers. I know it is alot to ask but do you know if there is something to down load or if someone can write me how.
Check the level of the transmission lube with the bike standing straight up. The transmission holds between 20 and 24 ounces of oil. I always put 24 ounces in them. It should check on the dipstick without the dipstick screwed in. Do not overfill.
No, the oil tank is on the bottom of the transmission. The oil dipstick it a long plastic dip stick on a knurled knob about 2" in diameter located on the right rear corner of the transmission. Check the oil with the bike on the Jiffy stand. There are two marks on the stick. The Upper mark is "FULL HOT" and the lower mark is 'FULL COLD" do not overfill.
I will walk you thru it from the manual. The
transmission filler plug/dipstick location : DYNA Models is located
under the battery box and just above the exhaust top pipe on the right
side of the scooter.
The dipstick/filler plug should be a shiny chrome allen headed looking
bolt. When the dipstick/filler plug has been removed there is an F above
a triangle toward the top if fluid is a the F it is full and the
towards the bottom of the stick there is a another triangle and an A
this means you need to add fluid if fluid level is at the A triangle
marker. Oh, Tranny fluid specs are 32 OZS. I recommend using ONLY
Genuine Harley Davidson Fluids.
you need to drain or change the fluid please let me know I will walk
you through step by step. Also if you need to know about the primary or
engine lube specs please let me know as I have the manual sitting right
here in front of me to assist you in any way I can.
I REALLY REALLY Hope this assisted you and will be more than happy to assist further step by step if you need it.
