Remove the headlight from it'd housing. Check to be sure the bulb is good. Next check the wiring from the headlight to the connection inside the housing. Be sure all connections are good. Check the fuses near the battery.

I have no rear drive shaft but it's drive like it's in 4wd. The button is set for awd is there anything that can be done with it until I can find a drive shaft?

Unfortunately No, the System was designed for the Rear Wheels to always work first, When the AWD button is engaged then it actuates the front differential through a Vacuum solenoid, Which Is actuated from an electrical solenoid,If you are referring to the front Drive shaft then you can disable the System by pulling the AWD fuse, But it wil Probable set a service soon liht in all eventuality

Whirlpool LX1550 gas dryer. Not heating. Lights once at beginning and then shuts off. Does not liht again.

Remove the front panel to get to the gas valve. (Sorry, without a valid model number can't tell how to do it)
Remove the metal bracket holding gas valve coils.
Replace both gas valve coils, part number 279834.

Good luck,
