A thought you may want to remove the fuel filter and see if it is blocked if you cant do this yourself a simple test can be performed a fuel pump pressure test if your fuel filter is good you may have a week fuel pump if this was helpful please leave me good feedback

It takes just one of the coil on Plug units to cause sputtering and severe shaking. Fortunately the prices have dropped slightly for the coil units. The bad news is it is still close to 100 bucks from the Ford dealers. I have had to replace 3 of these on my 1999 F250 superduty V-10 since I bought it new. I believe there may be some compatible aftermarket units out there for high performance V-8 engines, but can not confirm compatibility.

HI Ken, I have replaced the fuel filter and the pump, and the EVR solinoid. it happens when i have driven the car about 10 miles and on the freeway, it starts to sputter and if i down shift to 4th gear it runs good untill the rpms drop to about 2500, then it starts to sputter again. And if i down shift to 3erd it runs good untill the rpms drop again. Thanks for your imput and any advice will be helpful .... it is driving me crazy !!! Thanks Bill
