Tm en300 2005 power

A 4 stroke 300 will almost never beat a 2 stroke 250. The 250 could quite happily take on a 500, as they produce a much bigger bang due to their arrangement. Bigger bangs = more power/torque

Hopefully you ran it in after the piston change, and give it regular oil changes ( especially after running it in).

Get a freer breathing exhaust, but most importantly the header. Get a custom 'cone' made for the center section of the exhaust. This cone speeds up the gases and expels them faster, which is so importnat on a motorbike.

I have no spark..thinking coil? also does anyone know what the compression should be on a tm 300 two stroke engine? I am getting 90lbs reading. thanks

Make sure you do the compression with the throttle wide open. (And a clean air filter) You need at least 100 psi to run good. (Kick it untill the gauge needle stops climbing)

How to change oil in my 82 yamaha xj650. is there a engine diagram or something for me to find the filter and oil capacity.

the oil filter should be inside the round finned cover at the front of the motor/trans. if you have found the drain plug also at the front but underneath, the filter is above it.... oil capacity should be molded into the crankcase next to the oil filler cap

MY TM 125

Hi,

The TM 125 uses 550 ml of gear oil. There is level inspection screw situated behind the rear brake lever. Access is a little tricky, but not too tough.
For racing motocross I recomend ATF, but must be changed after each race day.
For enduro, outriding or Sunday riders, BelRay -Trans Oil 80 W is best. You should change oil roughly every 500 km to prolong gearbox life.

Regards

Jon

General

i know you have to change the oil and oil filter but how often and is that the only thing different from maintance on a 2-stroke?. Im getting an 04 kx 250f any help would be great! The two most important aspects of four-stroke maintenance are frequent oil/filter changes and regular valve clearance checks/adjustments. And some four-strokes (RMZ450 for example) have a manual timing chain tensioner that must be regularly checked/adjusted. Everything else is exactly like a two-stroke.,,,

Clutch fluid

Use 5wt. fork oil or ATF Dextron II/III. I've use both and have the 5wt. fork oil in now. Suppose to have a lighter pull but can't really tell any difference. Use a large syringe to pump the oil in from the bleeder at the bottom up to the master cylinder.
