I have a 92 katana and I think it takes 5w but I'm not sure. It does say what weight to use right on the cap, clean it up and check me before adding anything.

What pressure should you fill a suzuki gsxf 750 rear shock

That all depends on the year, weight of the rider and the make and model of the shock. It is best left to the professionals. I wouldn't do it, and I have been fixing motorbike for over 35 years.

Me and my wife just got a suzuki gsx 600 katana (used) and im pretty sure the little window that tells how much oil it has is empty. i need to know how much oil i need to buy, what kind, and if its the...

Hi the gsx will have the quantity of oil required embosed on the rh case next to the riders footrest. The quantity required
For all the gsx750 range, is 3.5 litres, 10W40 SG,
When the engine has been standing a while place the bike on a centre stand, or ask your good wife to sit on the bike and hold it uprite, then check the oil level by looking through the window you have found, and the level should be observed, higher than half full but not over the top mark, when replacing the oil and filter, it may take up to 4 litres to fill up to the mark after running and alowing the oil to settle

It will turn over but will not start. It is not

Hi and welcome to FixYa,

On your queries for a 1992 Suzuki GSX 600 F:
  • will turn over but will not start - have you checked for the presence or absence of spark?
  • It is not the battery or gas - have you considered insufficient gas at the carb's bowls?
  • Could it be gas filter clog - to verify, determine the quantity and quality of fuel from the drain hoses individually by loosening the drain screw one at a time. Compare all 4.

Good luck and thank you for asking FixYa.

i dont know exactly how much oil you need, when you put oil in your motorbike you can see a small window glass( right side) on your engine. just put oil up to middle of it.

Gsxf 600 fork seals are leaking

Get a manual as you will be in over your head if you haven't done one before, and it will have all the steps in there to do it. There are a bunch of parts in the lower leg of the fork. If you want a better set up then you have, I would look at replacing them with some 89-97 model forks as they are adjustable, and our 88 models are not.

Oil

Standard automobile oil should work just fine. If the bike has a wet clutch (or maybe even if it doesn't), you should make sure that you get oil WITHOUT friction modifiers. There's a lot of conflicting information about which oil you should use in your bike. Many people say as long as you get an car oil with the right specs it will work fine. Others say you should get motorcycle-specific oil. Personally, I opted to pay the extra $2/quart for Mobil 1 motorcycle-specific oil because I couldn't find any regular automobile oil that I was sure would work.
