Sounds like water / oil emulsification. Is your bike water cooled or air cooled? If it's water cooled then you may have a gasket leak. If it's air cooled then you may not be riding the bike enough to get a good temp up inside the engine which would drive off the condensation inside the crank case / sump thereby leading to the emulsification. You say you rode an easy mile - certainly that's not enough to get the temp up enough to drive off the water. Was the bike running ok? Was it accelerating and braking ok? If so then try a cautious longer run and keep an eye on your levels. If in doubt consult a bike shop.

I rode my 2005 CBr 600 for an hour then went to park it while in first gear and the bike shut off and lost all power. I mean there is nothing, not tuning over, no gauges, no lights, no sounds of a...

The bike will have a cut out switch for the side stand. IE if the side stand is down and you try to put the bike in gear it will either cut the engine or not let you start if at all.

Make sure the bike is in neutral and try again.

Ducati 1098s wont start , backfireing

Check your mufflers. Such problems are usually common with exhaust systems so the first take you should have had was to check them before thinking of your plugs. If you need more about bike functionality then you can check my exhaust for details..

HT coil, 99% certain, the one that's on the end of the plug lead. electrical stuff, particularly HT coils break down when warm. if it was a CDI unit it would likely go pop and that's the end of it. you can get the coil tested, or get a second hand cheap one or borrow one to see if that's it. I used to test them by putting them on a radiator to get really hot, faulty ones would give up real quick then.j

You don't say what year your bike is, but I know a lot of guys with newer sporsters 06 and up have had similar complaints. The problem usually goes away once every thing drys out. You might want to try putting a little dialitic grease on the fuses and buses.

1991 k100rs....locked steering...won't unlock??? lights are on???

Wiggle the handle bars while you try to unlock the steering. You went one click too far and turned the parking lights on. Can also try some graphite in the lock cylinder, or some lubricating spray.
