this could be an issue with driver or service failure in the computer..
try restarting the computer in safe mode .. and see if the internal speakers work.. try running a driver update through device manger.. check the cables of course.
if that does not help .. then call 1-877-805-1027 for expert help
You do not say which operating system you are using. My answer can therefore only be general rather than specific to your operating system.
The Video Camera you tried to install probably has an in-built microphone. Connecting this is may have changed the default settings for your audio devices.
You have a number of options for fixing this problem.
SYSTEM RESTORE Start > All programs > Accessories > System Tools > System Restore > Restore my computer to an earlier time > selected a highlighted date in the calendar and an Event in the schedule before the date you tried to install the video camera > restore > restart the computer (you should hear the windows logon on tones if you are using a windows operating system) > (My) Music > Sample Music > double click on any track to test the sound playback.
AUDIO SETTINGS Start > Control Panel > Audio devices > Audio (Playback Devices) > Set Defaults (set the Speakers to be the Default Playback devices > apply > ok > restatrt computer > (My)
Music > Sample Music > double click on any track to test the sound
playback.
AUDIO/SOUND DRIVERS Reinstalling the Audio/Sound Drivers would also probably resolve the problem by restoring your Default Audio settings, if you have the Driver CD for your Laptop or Desktop Motherboard > install Audio/Sound Driver > restart computer > (My)
Music > Sample Music > double click on any track to test the sound
playback.
I cannot direct you to a driver download site, because you have given no information about your computer.

The best thing to do is to contact the manufacturers. From this i understood that your speaker system is new. You surely have the manufacturer's guarantee. So its better to contact them than to get it repaired or replaced for free. Sir please do not try to open the sub as it will void the guarantee policy.
Hope your subs come into play as soon as possible....... All the best...
What you're describing sounds like it would be a problem with your media player, which in this case would be iTunes. Try playing music through another media player ( Like Windows Media Player ) and see if music still jumps. If it still does, then it's a computer issue, if it doesn't, it's just iTunes. The music jumping shouldn't have anything to do with your speakers.
Your speaker volume must have reset. You have to touch the dots on the right speaker to turn up the volume to desired volume. I just remembered that on my system. Hope this helps.
I have speaker problem no sound but I know its there because when I turn on volume can hear it turn on it was working before my computer is hooked up to magicjack for my telephone different area code then where I live and the other day when I picked up reciver to make a call could hear my speakers on my phone assastance asap PLEASE

Please look in your Start Menu, go to Control Panel, then into Sounds, Speech and Audio Devices. See near the left, and select Advanced Volume Control. Turn up the inputs for the other sounds that you want delivered out to those speakers. Later adjust the levels a little higher if at first the mix of the sounds is not quite loud enough from one or several of the sound sources. Also in Control Panel, Sounds, you can mute out or eliminate annoying unwanted system sounds such as sounds for minimize and maximize a computer window, and the click that occurs when the computer does Complete Navigation -which it does a lot. Go into Sounds and Audio Devices, and into the Sounds tab. Select the Windows Program event such as default beep and click pick NONE from the sound chooser scroll bar that is just below. Scroll up to NONE to eliminate that sound. Now your overall sound experience will be more pleasant, without unneeded sounds playing loudly, unexpectedly.
If the powerlight is turning on some times and off sometimes, Then it may be a problem with the powersupply connected to the speakers. Check it.
If the speakers are on and are not playing, Then try playing some music through alternate source like ipod, walkman etc.If the speakers are playing with alternate music source, The try reinstalling the audio drivers of your note book.
If not then your speakers might have fried up due to some reason.
if u play ur speakers with high sounds the speakers gonna give a hit sound and the beep sound what u get actually with the computer what u can do is just play ur speakers in some other system see if the same things happen with ur speakers then ur speakers are not proper if it is playing right with some other computer then there is a problem in ur computer in ur computer go to ur sound drivers software and just turn all settings to default and play if the same problem persissts then reinstall ur audio driver and play then it should play perfectly
