Question about 1985 Yamaha XJ 700 X Maxim
I bought my 85 maxim xj700 last year. I was out riding and the bike started jerking and running ruff. I turned on my reserve switch and the problem went away.
I stopped at a gas station and checked I was low on fuel. I think the fuel light indicator is not working. I have it up for the winter (wisconsin)
How can I go about checking to see where this problem is. I want to start at the simple and then work my way up to hard. I don't have a manuel so, I'll be working by feel.
Thanks for any help I can get.
Remove the cover that has the oil light, high beam, etc and check the fuses and clean the contacts then spray with wd40, then let the tank empty or syphon it and the light should come on.
