The flasher unit is called the TSSM module. It is a combined flasher and alarm unit. A new one will require your alarm keyfobs to be matched to it. An expensive unit if faulty. If you replaced the earth wires and now its blowing fuses, then I would check your work. The fault has changed after you worked on the vehicle so logic dictates you have caused this. The black wire is usually the earth on these indicators but it is a possibility that these are routed through the TSSM module. You might have done damage if this is so.

My turn signals sometimes will quit working then I have to hit the hazard lights button leave it on and then turn my turn signals on then they work what causes this to happen

When the turn signals quit working pull up , down , front to back an back to front on the turn signal switch handle . Do they work when doing this ? Pontiac had bad switch . The power for the turn signals goes through the flasher / hazard module . Could be the switch or the module.
The HAZARD LPS fuse in the left hand instrument panel (LH IP) junction block supplies battery positive voltage to the flasher module, which is part of the hazard switch assembly. The TURN LPS fuse in the LH IP junction block supplies ignition positive voltage to the flasher module. The turn signal lamps may only be activated with the ignition switch in the ON position. When the turn signal switch is placed in either the left or right position, current flow is from the flasher module's output to the turn signal switch assembly. The flasher module then sends an on-off voltage signal to either the left or right turn signals and their instrument panel cluster (IPC) indicator. When the hazard switch is pressed, all the turn signal lamps will flash including both IPC turn signal indicators.

Unplug your battery for a couple minutes and then put the battery back on. If it comes back on then there is a problem with your vehicle.

The right hand side indicator does not work on my Pride Legend Classic XL8. I have checked the fuses and they are ok. The left hand side indicator and the hazard flashers work perfectly. Please help.

Hi if when you put the hazzard lights on all the indicators work then this suggests the problem is with the indicator switch, you may need to get it replaced, it could be that it has got corroded due to rain or damp getting in, if the hazzords are working ok then you know the fuse and bulbs are good so all thats left that could be wrong is the switch that works the indicators.
this will need removing and replacing to solve your problem

2001 aprilia rs125 indicators dont work on left

their sounds like their is a short in the switch or wire.

if i was testing it. id unplug the one side and test the other alone. then each wire individuality for current when i press switch to on position

shorts seem top be visible at times with visual inspection. so look before you touch. and checking the switch for resistance is a good idea also. but do not have the battery hooked up to test switch for resistance or no power to switch when testing.

Indicators/flashers

Check your wiring for continuity. Mine did the same on the Fatboy - found a broken return wire by the right Handlebar switch when I opened up the switch gear housing on the bars. Bit of solder, heatshrink and good as new! (my problem light was on the right side so check the left side on your first - was a white wire with orange stripe I think, should be easily visible from the indicator switch inside). All the other lights worked fine. Maybe an earthing problem?
