Yes the problem is that you have one bad bulb. One causes others not to work. Buy one brake bulb and one for your "normal lights" Be sure you get exactly the same bulbs as are in there now. Then just switch out one bulb at a time til u come upon the burned out bulb.

I would next check the ground wire at both ends to make sure you have a good ground. if you go to an auto supply store they have a spray for these contact points which will instantly remove corrosion and give u a better ground.

Hi Anonymous, I don't know year your FXDWG is so my answer will be general. your going to need a different turn signal module/flasher. You are going to need a wiring diagram to track down wiring issues, please visit the website below for a free download:

Brake & turn signal lights

QUICK PRELIMINARY CHECK:
  • If neither brake light works, go here.
  • Check all the connections to the signal switch and trailer relay.
  • Turn on the parking lights. Make sure that each light is equally bright (side-to-side). The signal filament is brighter than the parking light filament, so if one light is "extra" bright the bulb may be inserted 180 degrees out in the socket, or the contact plate in the light may be reversed.

To reverse the contact plate for the front parking light with staggered pin bulbs:

Remove the lense and the bulb
Pull back the boot as far as possible. Some boots require that you remove the parking light completely.
Push the wires into the back of the light housing.
Turn the contact plate 180 degrees and engage the tangs as you pull the wires out.

To reverse the contact plate for the rear round parking lights with staggered pin bulbs (You can simply reverse the leads on the rear rectangular lights):
Remove the lense and the bulb
Push the wires into the back of the light housing.
Turn the contact plate 180 degrees and engage the tangs as you pull the wires out.
  • If you don't have brake and signal lights on one side, disconnect the red and yellow (or green) wires from the light. With the parking light switch on, touch the red wire to each connection on the light. One connection should be bright, the other less bright. Connect the red wire to the dimmer connection and the other wire to the brighter connection. More possibilities here.
  • Use only a Signal Stat brand flasher, #180 (it comes with the kit). Some others don't consistently indicate flashing on the dashboard, or may not flash at all.

I just picked up a 2006 gsxr600 but the turn signals dont work, the 4-way flashers still work, and the fuse is good. The guy i got it from said they were working last summer, when he installed new led...

HI, HAS THE OLD OWNER INSTALED A LED FLASHER UNIT? IT MAY BE WHEN ALL 4 FLASHERS ARE ON THERE IS ENOUGH RESISTANCE TO OPPERATE THE OLD RELAY, BUT WHEN INDICATORS ARE SELECTED IN A NORMAL MODE, THE RELAY DOESNT WORK, HAVE ALSO SEEN FAILURE OF THE AFTERMARKET LED RELAYS, IF FITTED REMOVE UNIT AND CHECK THE REAR FOR ANY SIGNS OF BURNING, PAUL

Yamaha r6 braking lights

Start with a new brake\tail bulb, then try unplugging the front brake switch on the handle bars , then try unplugging the rear brake switch. one of these options should locate a problem

Suzuki k6 turn signal and park light dont work .but head light and brake light still does

This is either a ground issue or 2 separate problems. Check the tail bulbs there should be 2 filaments in them unless they are LED. In the case that they are led Check the grounds and the fuses.

1982 maxim no turn signals no break light the head light works the tail light works bulbs are good fuses are good

Does the brake light work with the front brake lever. Sounds like wrong type of bulbs in there or bad turn signal flasher...Do the lights light up when you hit the switch and just stay lit...Also i can tell you that mine had to have the bike running in order to create enough amps to even make the flasher trip. I eventually put bigger bulds in each turn signal to draw more so they work with it running or not. It had 2156 bulbs in and i put 2157. Oh the flasher unit is under the fuel tank.
