SOURCE: 2003 road king speedometer stop working no signal

Sometimes when I ride my 2002 RK 150 miles or more, the speedo quits, the signals won't cancel, and the idle drops to barely running. Anyone have any ideas?

SOURCE: location for the fusebox or

I'm not sure when Harley changed to fuses but I think your RK has circuit breakers. These sense an overload and trip the breaker. After a short time, the breaker resets. They are usually under the seat. they look like small metal boxes that measure about 1/2" X 1/2" X 1 1/4". They have a copper screw and a steel screw. The copper screw is the battery end of the breaker.

Good Luck

Odometer, tach, horn, brake lights and blinkers all out. 14 amp fuse replaced and blew again. Any clue?

you have a dead short on the ACC wire (red and gray wire i believe).
Disconnect each component one be one until fuse's stop blowing or use a meter and check for grounded power wires

The tail lights have started staying in brake mode, turn signals not working properly. Some times when you hit a bad spot in the road the tach and speedometer stop working as well as the head lights. I...

Could be bad brake light switch but turn signals involved so? Has to be bad ground.Light sockets corroded bad wiring thru fender mounting bolts in tail light assembly broke but corroded in place, not a good ground.Has to be simple cause bike runs.

Speedo, turn signals, brake lights, horn stopped working. All else is fine.

Gap your plugs to 38 thou. Check all your bulbs (one burned out will affect the rest) Take a look at all your fuses and make sure they are all ok. Otherwise you are probably looking at a wiring short which will require trouble shooting of the elctrical system. Buy your self a service manual for your bike, this will help you a lot.
