There is a cable running from outside of your front wheel usually on the left hand side if looking from the front, this has a small screw head on it and seems to just blend into the front side of middle of wheel unscrew this and see if the cable inside is free running or not if you turn it round it should acctually send your speedometer a small impulse to send it moving round, next check if cable centre will pull out of outers, if this is right then you have a snapped speedometer cable and will have to replace it. this is quite complicated to do as you will have to take front light off to gain access to the other half of your cable, only a small screw holding that on again, but as i say bit of a bugger to get to, hope this helps you?

The honda varadero is fitted with an electronic speedometer drive ..check the cable from the front left wheel center the cable goes up and connects under the fuel tank...if there are no obvious breaks in the cable the whole thing will need replacing..this is the most likely fault

Hi, David the 428 is a lighter and less stronger chain usually used on small dirt bikes 65cc-85cc your bike needs a 520 chain for more information about your question and valuable "FREE" downloads that you will need please click on the links below. Good luck and have a nice day.

How can I harden up the front forks on my Honda 125 Varadero please

Measure the diameter of the springs top,cut pipe(Usually stainless steel)and remove the tops of the forks, install the spacers in each fork tube and enjoy-Experiement with the lengths, typically start with 1 1/2~3 inches.....You can also change the thickness of the fork oil...The tubed method does not require higher air pressure to work....

Honda Varadero 125. Not starting.

Hi !
First check if the current is coming from ignition coil....
If YES ... then the spark plug is burnt(shorted) Get new plugs.
If NO... then there could be a problem with the ignition coil itself Or the coil in the dynamo is burnt.... Regards

How do i fit brake pads on my varadero xl 125 motorbike

There is more to it than can be easily written in a repsonse on here.
If you get it wrong, you will endanger yourself and others.
I suggest you find someone who knows and get them to show you - then they can check your work.
It isn't difficult, basically you unclip the old ones, remove them, push back the brake pistons insert the new pads, clip them in place, check the brake lever for pressure, and you're done.

ENGINE NOISE

It could be the 'cam chain' but you will be getting into a major overhaul to replace the cam chain so if you are familiar with the teardown of the motor go ahead and do it otherwise take it to a repair shop.
