Question about 2007 Victory Kingpin Touring

Open Question

Want to add a tour trunk to a 2006 Kingpin.

I know the first year Kingpin Tour is 2007. Is there going to be an issue bolting up a trunk to a 2006? I just bought a Trunk and mounting hardware online. My bike is still in storage for the winter and I cannot tinker with it right now.

First you have to remove the bags, then the brackets for the bags, then the piece of chrome trim, then the seat. The brackets holding the trunk , is attached at the rear of the seat and has 4 bolts under the seat as well. This has to be removed to take the trunk out.------

There are only four screws holding the trunk itself on its base. --------

And there are only 2 allen key bolts holding down front seat and 4 bolts holding down back. When they are taken off seats came off pretty easy. You may need to remove bags and chrome side piece to get at bolts for back seat.------

The procedure goes this way:---You have to remove at least 3 of the 4 inner saddlebag bolts. Watch for the aluminum spacers on the frame side. Then the chrome bracket covers, then the actual 4 seat bolts.--------

How to take off the tour pac

Hi Anonymous, I would take a ride over to my local dealer and ask someone in parts or service to check and see if you have a quick release tour pak and show you how it works. Other wise it's hard mounted and the bolts are underneath the tour pak inside liner. If you have radio antena they will have to be relocated, plus there is the wiring to deal with, for some tips go to: Good luck

Went to start my 2006 Yamaha ROyal Star Tour Deluxe, had no power to ignition or electrical system

sounds like possible bad battery or batttery connections. If battery is more than 4-5 years old thatis a good place to start as it should be replaced anyway.

I'm not aware of anywhere. It's 300 pages long. My suggestion is to look for one on eBay. Also try and the classified section. Post a "want" and you may find one. That's where I got mine.
Good luck.

I need to know the front wheel tourque for my Royal Star Tour Deluxe motorcyle.

The front tire can be removed (motorcycle on lift) without loosening calipers or any other parts once axle shaft has been withdrawn; after the tire has been changed and the wheel and axle shaft is back in place, torque for the axle nut is 58 ft.-lbs (78 nm) and the pinch nut is 14 ft.-lbs. (19 nm). FYI - bolts for the caliper should be torqued to 30 ft.-lbs. (40 nm) as a precaution.

2007 Royal Star Tour Delux with 15,000 miles Rear brake issues.

No you should have from time to time safety checked your motorcycle, brakes are a normal wear part and should have been replaced before the friction material had completely worn off.

2007 Royal Star Tour Delux with 15,000 miles. Rear brakes scored

Not an unusual problem, no recalls. Replace pads (and rotor, if necessary), but after brakes are bled, loosen the bolt between the rear caliper arm and the swing arm, have someone apply and hold rear brake, tighten bolt. The arm, which holds the caliper in line with the rotor, occasionally loosens and allows misalignment. Checking pad thickness on both sides of the disk regularly will reveal caliper problems if wear is not evenly distributed.

Replace rear brake pads

There are two bolts holding the caliper to the carrier.

How do you remove the tour pack on 2007 Electra Glide Classic

Disconnect all of the electrical connections including the antenna wire from under the seat going to the tour pack and then remove the four nuts under the tour pack which holds it to the mount. At this point, simply lift it off.
