Can you tell what color the oil is? Clear color would be inner primary seal leak, red color is tranny seal leak, dark color is engine oil leak, possibly.

drain oil, remove right side case, you will see the clutch, remove clutch hub nut, inner and outer clutch pressure plates will then come out, remove bolt holding springs in, separate fibers and steels, best bet is to replace full set.

Where are front and rear starter mounting screws on 2008 roadking starter

They are at the top of the starter and go into the inner primary case. They are almost hidden at the left side of the bike above the transmission but accessed from the right side and you will probably need a long 1/4 ball Allen to get at them and lossen/remove them.

How to replace 2007 streetglide transmission output shaft bearing. Can it be done from thr left side?

Never had a transmission output shaft (the bearing that supports the belt pulley shaft) fail. Are you sure this bearing is gone? The bearing that usually fails is the clutch mainshaft bearing that is mounted on the inner primary casing and causes a noise that can be stopped by pulling in the clutch and putting it in gear. If this is the case, then the bearing is gone. It is replaced by removing all component from left side engine. No need to go near the transmission.

Removal of an 06 ultra classic trans

This removal requires some special tools and a manual. First remove the negative battery cable.Drain and remove primary cover. Remove the shift shaft from the housing.Remove the primary drive. The clutch nut has left-hand threads so righty loosey. Remove the small screw on the end of the starter gear shaft. Remove the screws holding the inner primary housing. Now on the right side. Remove the exhaust. Remove the two screws holding the starter motor to the trans housing. Inner primary will now come off. There is a race that is pressed onto the mainshaft that requires a special puller to remove. Drain trans fluid. Remove trans side cover, the one with the clutch cable. Remove the trans top cover. Remove the shifter drum. Remove the shift fork shaft through the right side of the trans bearing door. Remove the shift forks through the top off the trans housing noting location. Remove the screws that hold the bearing door to the case. There are a couple of pry points that you would use to separate the door from the case. Should come on out after all that.

Huskt tc250 broken inner an outter case round kick start

Obviously, new casings would be the best option, but another option you have is to take the parts to a commercial welding shop and have them Heiliarc weld the casings. Alternate to that, you could try Googling motorcycle salvage Husqvarna to see if you can get some used parts. The bad thing about a busted inner casing is that you should change out the inner casings as a matched set. Sometimes the casings don't line up perfectly if only replacing one side and the result is shafts that freeze up when you tighten down the screws. Please rate my answer. Thanks.

Need to see dye gram how to remove gear box for dyner wide glide

On a Big Twin, you can remove the geartrain from the transmission case without having to remove the gearcase from the engine. Basically, the "guts" come out of the case.

You'll have to disconnect the battery, remove the clutch and all other inner primary gear, remove the exhaust pipes, drain the oil from the transmission. Remove the top cover of the transmission, remove the shifter cam mechanism, remove the "trap door endplate" of the right side of the transmission along with the gear.

A service manual is recommended if you plan on doing this job yourself.

Honda blackbird stuck in 6th gear

Sorry to have to tell you this, you have a bent shift fork. This is a MAJOR repair. The engine comes out and gets torn down; left side, right side and bottom case half. Expect a cost of around $1000 plus.

Go to the site below where you can see a parts diagram for your specific bike. You will select the actual brand, year, model, etc., once you go to the site. Part numbers and prices are also shown. You can order parts from this site. In the event no price is shown on a particular part, the part is not in stock. www.babbittsonline.com/pages/parts/viewbybrandand/parts.aspx

Can I get a “very helpful” rating on this answer? At least that is free!

1979 yamaha xs 650 f engine is making whining sound while runnin

Main drive gears. The bike is pretty old, so there is undoubtedly a wear pattern on the faces of the gears, especially the higher two gears. The crankshaft bearing may also be worn and need to be replaced. Does the engine whine only when the gears are engaged, or also when running in neutral?

The Kawasaki is very easy to work on but you will need either a press or a special set of case splitting tools to split the cases. The right side engine case comes off easy but the left side is difficult. I can walk you through the entire process but I need to know just how far you are able to tear the engine down before I start walking you through the job.
One thing, I don't believe in "micky mousing" anything, if you want to fix your motor just promise you will do it right. Trust me in the long run you will save lots of money and heartache by doing it right.
When you get back to me I'll also give you a list of what parts you will need to put your bike back together. I can even give you the name of a shop that I think will give you a very good price on parts and they have an online parts manual so you can see exactly what you need and give them the part numbers.
