Oil in the air filter could mean tht the piston rings are weak thus throwing oil from the breather to the airfilter via the breather pipe.
Some filters do require a little oil like thK & N ones maybe in your bike it was over filled if at all.
You can run the engine with out the air fliter and see if theres smoke coming out of the breather pipe, if it does thn you will have to replace the piston rings or more over rebore the block and replace the piston kit.

Hope this helps !

How to refuel a sym jolie 50cc scooter, do you mix oil into the petrol tank, or do you fill the oil and fuel seperatley or does it mix it itself????

the sym scooter is shown as a oil in the sump requirement with a dipstick to check oil level
that will mean that only straight 91 octane fuel is put in the tank
go google and type in--sym 50cc motor scooter user manual -- and there is a page with a pdf version download of all the required knowledge for the scooter
the site is --www.49 ccscoot.com

I just bought my 50cc Yamaha scooter 3 months ago. Top speed was normal around 45km. It runs great .But recently it lost a lot of speed maxing out around 30km.I just got it check out .The spark plugs are...

You don't " get a cylinder cleaned ". Who ever says that doesn't know what he is talking about. I assume the engine is a two stroke. The gas/oil mixture should be 32 to1. That means 4 ounces of two stroke engine oil to one gallon of gas. If the scooter has an automatic oil pump be sure there is oil in the oil tank. It should automaticly pump the engine oil at the proper rate. If this is an older scooter, you could remove the cylinder head and de-carbon it and then check the exhaust port to be sure the port has not been made smaller due to carbon build up. The port should be about 1/2" tall and 1" wide. Also check and clean the air filter. If it is a new scooter is it still under warranty?

My derby gp1 open 50cc.when you put revs on dies and its getting worse.changed plug and cleaned air filter.

Hi and welcome to FixYa,

Initially, check for:
  • color of burn tips of sparkplug; if very light brown to almost whitish, then lean. Check for an air leak;
  • if black, sooty, then rich, check for a vacuum leak or oil/gas mix proportion.

Postback results of above initial tests.

Good luck and thank you for asking FixYa.

Oil in my air filter?

This is normal. The air filter is re usable on a lot of two stroke engines and you wash the filter and oil it lightly to help catch dust.

so I decided to replace the plugs and noticed this. I haven't noticed this before. And why would I have this issue? Please can someone help me with this. JohnThis is a common problem with aprilia Perhaps it's common on large capacity V-Twins. Check the crankcase ventilation hoses/system,

SUNL 50CC SCOOTER

You may need to adjust the fuel/air ratio. There is a small screw under the pull starter facing horizontally (its behind the plastic air filter cover, but accessable) adjust either clockwise or counter clockwise in small increments and give it gas and see if it dies or boggs down. Also check that spark plug is clean and not fouled, and air filter is clean and oiled.
