Can you provide me with the year of my Yamaha snowmobile based on the model or serial number?

Hi, Andrew for this situation I would call my local dealer or reputable shop's service/parts department and inquire about any possible quick fix, answers, or parts inquiry. If necessary transport your bike to the dealer or shop and have a professional technician take it for a test drive, if it is in running condition, and give you a written estimate of repairs and answer any specific questions you may have about your issue. Install snowmobile track on a 1979 kawasaki 440

In order to install a track on the 440, you have to FIRST "Ensure you have the RIGHT TRACK". 15x121 2.5 pitch Normally they were 3/4 inch depth.

1. Remove Rear Axle
2. Remove Bogey Wheels
3. Take Chain Off Axle
4. Remove Front Axle with Old Track
5. Install New Track (Pay attention to direction of track if you get a Camoplastic)
6. Reinstall Bogey Wheels
7. Install Rear Axle
8. Adjust Track Tension.

I have a 1979 yamaha 340 enticer.Recently it would not start, no spark. I tried new plugs and a new ignition coil but still no spark. Don't know what to do next.

Hi, Gmgroot and the usual suspects are:
1. Fouled spark plugs.
2. Severely discharged or a damaged battery, should have 12.5 volts or better and be able to pass a load test if necessary.
3. Check battery terminals for damage or corrosion, check the battery cables at "BOTH" ends for loose, corroded, or broken connectors, "INSIDE" and outside the cable harness, perform connector wiggle test and check cables with an ohmmeter if necessary.
4. Loose connection at ignition coil or plug between ignition sensor and module.
5. Spark plug cables in bad condition, shorting / leaking, spark plug cable connections loose.
6. Faulty ignition coil or ignition / electronic module
7. Faulty CKP, CMP, or BAS sensor.
8. Faulty ignition switch.
9. Security alarm failing to disarm needs reset

I have a problem with my 1982 yamaha xl3

There are two clutches on a snowmobile. The primary and secondary. The primary is the one on the engine, the secondary is the bigger one closer to the rider.
Your belt should sit "just above" the top edge of the secondary clutch, and at the bottom/center of the primary clutch when the snowmobile is not running. You can normally tell if the belt is worn by looking at where it sits on the secondary. If the top of the belt is below the top edge of the secondary clutch, it's worn and should be replaced. Belts are typical wear parts and are just replaced (not adjusted) when worn. I go through a few belts a winter and ALWAYS carry a spare.

1970 yahamha snowmobile engine digram

Go to the site below where you can see a parts diagram for your snowmobile engine. You will select the actual brand, year, model, etc., once you go to the site. Part numbers and prices are also shown. You can order parts from this site. In the event no price is shown on a particular part and/or the notation "Not Available" is in the description, the part is not in stock. www.babbittsonline.com/pages/parts/viewbybrandand/parts.aspx

I checked and your info is there on the site.
Please rate my answer. Thanks!
