SOURCE: suzuki gs550l flot height

not sure on the exact specs but flip the carb upside down and look how the floats look to the horizon of the earth. Sounds silly but that is how pretty much all bike mechanics set them, just make them level to the earth. Good luck

How to wire new tail light for a 03 suzuki gsx600f?

Brown is tail
Red is stop
either back or green is earth.
Why do you need to "rewire" if you have a new one just leave the wiring and light sockets on the bike replace the tail light and put the original light sockets back in the new tail light.

Headlamps wiring

In the headlight there is the main globe (bulb/lamp) which generally has three(3) wires to it. This is HI beam and LO beam along with "common" (
The small globe is the "running" light and the Brown and Green connect to this. This light comes on when the ignition (or lights) is switched on, off the rear tail light circuit. In the headlight "Nancelle" (the big chrome housing the headlight fits in to) there will be A: a GREEN connector and B: a BROWN connector. The green is earth and the brown is the lighting circuit for all running lights, just reconnect.

I bought a 1100 gsx r w/p suzuki of which the temperature gauge wires were not connected. i found that the gauge was broken and got a second hand one. i do not want to connect the wires up wrong so i need...

You have two wires? Black with Green Tracer and Black with Brown Tracer? Didn't give a specific year so taking a guess on yours. If those are your two wires then the Black with green Tracer goes to the Temperature Gauge and the Black with Brown goes to the ground

sounds like a broken wire in harness around head stock .first check for any dodgy connections failing this turn h/bars left to right note position of wiring harness bend when turning remove insulation tape about10cm before bend to 10cm after bend test each wire individually by holding firm one end(in removed tape area) and pulling on other end ,pull fairly hard and hold pressure if wire is broken the wires insulating cover (colour) will become thinner at broken point find broken wire cut at break add a plus minus 2cm piece of wire (same diameter) solder insulate and tape up wiring harness

Wiring from "Windjammer Fairing to Bike is troublesome....

Hi and welcome to the site,

To my recollection, wiring of a Windjammer:
  • white - high;
  • yellow - low;
  • black - ground;
  • violet - left;
  • blue - right;
  • green - running light;
  • red - cigarette lighter;
  • brown - accessory;
  • orange - accessory.
While the Suzuki would have:
  • yellow - high;
  • white - low;
  • black/white - ground;
  • black - left;
  • green - right;

Good luck and thank you for asking.

My speedomter will not work.

You need a manual, there is a wiring diag available at: ,

What you have is a lose connection some where, it is most probably an earth. Just fossick around and check all the ones around the items including the prug ins.
