96 chevy cav. 2.2 died after hitting a bump, wont start, but if i hold pedal all the way down, sounds like it is firing on one cylr. but wont get running

Probably something got loose after hitting the bump.
Check the fuel pump, maybe a fuse got loose or burn, or maybe there is no electricity running to the fuel pump.

Why my 1998 range rover 4.0 se won't start unless I use starter fluid. It will only turn over without it.

did you hit a big bump when it stopped? you may have a fuel emergency shut-off switch that tripped or a blown fuse.

I have a 2003 mazda tribute and cant get power to my fuel pump I was goin down the road hit bump and it just stopped everything work but its not gettin power to the fuel pump I tried a new one and it still...

Check fuses and relays, if you have not done both already. Since you replaced it, the connector should not be the problem, though that would have been the first thing I checked in this scenario. If none of that does it, try tracing the wire to look for damage.

Hit a bump and truck quit. turns over but will not fire.

First thing I would think of is something electrical became disconnected. Did you ground out? Easy to damage something, though manufacturers are of course aware of that, so they try not to place anything which would be susceptible to damage from bumps and especially grounding. How is the fuel filter and hose? usually easy to get at, and cheap to replace. Gasoline engines are more tolerant of lower fuel pressures compared to diesel which run at higher pressure, and that pressure is critical to allow the injectors to properly mist the fuel.

So get out your creeper and strong flashlight and start looking, then start checking EVERYTHING in the engine compartment, and finally connections inside, including fuses and relays.

And of course checking your OBD can often tell you the problems without even getting your hands dirty.

I hit a bump and the car 94 Voyager 3.0 shutoff and now will not start?

Check the fuel pump relay in the "fuse center" under the hood, there is also a fuse for the fuel pump in the same fuse box.

I hit a bump with my rodeo and it just quit running and i don't hear the fuel pump kicking on when i turn the key on any ideas?

Check the power wires on the fuel pump and make sure that it is pumping fuel to the engine.

Its a possibility that something under the hood could have come loose when you hit that bump.

Check everything, all electrical connections, and all fuses.

Some vehicles have a fuel pump cut off switch that shuts all power to fuel pump in case of an accident. It activates by inertia...meaning that a severe "bump" will activate switch, thereby cutting off the fuel pump. If your vehicle has that switch, hitting that bump may have activated switch. If you do have that switch, reset it by pressing in the reset button.

Few months ago had fuel pump assembly replaced. Not the pump but the assembly. Location is behind the rear seat above the fuel tank and actually its in the tank but can be reached by removing the rear seat...

I would say that you are on the right track , I think that maybe when the work was done on the fuel pump assy the mechanic may have pinched the power wire and hitting the bumps has caused it to will have to take the seats out again (sorry). You need to look for a damaged wire or evidence of arcing .Hope this helps.
