Hi!
The reason for the indicators not flashing is that there isn't enough resistance to load the flasher unit, it need 4X21Watt bulbs making at total of 84Watts for it to work correctly. It may work with less but will flash erratically.
Hope this helped?

Rear turn signals wont blink

If you don't have front turn signals, the rear won't flash, as they're wired in series.

If you replaced the turn signals with LEDs, then yes, a load equalizer is usually needed.

Turn signals wont flash the front signals are not connected

More than likely it is because there is a lack of enough load with the front ones not connect. You many have to install some kind of load to simulate that they are connected.

Hi Anonymous, check your wiring and connections from the turn signal switch to the turn signal module with a testlite. Make sure all connector pins are corroded, broken, or loose. For a free wiring diagram please visit the website below:

Sportster headlights and front turn signals turn on, wont flash though, and no rear signals

Check the indicator relay and the connector and wires. Most likely a failed earth or relay.

Bought a used 1999 Yamaha v-star with some butchered *** tail light and turn signals. Got everything to work except i cant get left or right turn signals to stay on when i turn on the lights, signal...

The marker ("running") lights are a separate circuit than the signal lights.
Normally you have a tail light, and the front running lights on with the headlight.
The bulbs used in the rear signal lights would be a single filament 1156 bulb, whereas the bulbs in the front are dual filament, one for turn signal, one for running light.

Indicators wont flash 3 new relays still wont flash lights either on with no flasing or off but ticking with no lights i have the same problem with 2 bikes

Hi, Kevandmax before diagnosing any turn signal issue make sure the bulb is good and the light fuse has continuity with a test light. If no turn signals work the cause could be a faulty turn signal module or the connector going to it, look for corroded, loose, or broken pins/sockets. Contact spray cleaner is great for removing corrosion. If your speedometer does not function properly it will have to be fixed first because your turn signal module gets the data from the speedometer for normal turn signal function. If your front turn signals don't work use a test light to check for power and ground at the bulb socket, then start backtracking the wiring through every wire connector to the turn signal switch/button and check for continuity, go all the way back to the fuse if necessary to find the cause of the malfunction. If your rear turn signals don't work check your rear fender wiring harness connector first for corroded, broken, loose pins/sockets, power, and a good ground, (the harness connector is usually located under the seat on the front of the rear fender) then keep tracing the wiring look for obvious harness damage caused by the rear tire. If you still can't find the malfunction backtrack from the rear fender wiring harness connector. If one side does not work you could have a faulty turn signal switch or module check for continuity. For more information about your issue, please visit the websites below. Good luck and have a nice day. Indicator doesnt flash it just stays on

Turn signals wont flash but somtimes, bulbs good whats wrong? they light up front and rear but will not flash.if i mess with switch back and forth fast they will start working and by the end of my ride...

If they both come on, front and rear, but won't flash, then the most likely problem is the winker relay. When you flick the turn signal switch and they sometimes flash, that's because you're working the relay repeatedly and jarring it into action. Try a new realy (the box that makes them flash) and you should be fine.
