Question about 2005 Harley Davidson FXD - FXDI Dyna Super Glide
Go to a dealer and look up the part numbers for the frame on 05 and 06 fxd models. If they are the same you are in luck. The front brake hose may be a problem so check that also.

I have a 2005 FXD Superglide and I put a 2006 Road King Front End . I had a couple problems first I had to have the bottom tree ground down a little as it has a bead that interfers with it seating on the bearing once that was solved I had to much travel in the forks and the voltage regulator would dent the front fender so I put a craftsman socket that would drop in th forks to reduce the travel thus no more interference with voltage regulator and it is one fast 1550cc now and a very fast stable ride that I change back and forth from a solo with bags to a dual seat and absolutely love this ride. Also put a Mikuni 42mm Carb and KB Pistons and thats all folks and she rides great with all the power you need.---DC
