Remove gas line from carb and turn on gas if no gas tank and line need cleaning. if there is gas need to remove carb and clean jets. before you remove it seal off the back of carb with hand and have someone to kick it over a few times if its a small clogg this just might remove it GOOD LUCK

Hi guys my blaster does not want to start change the plug cleaned the carb no go

Hi, Phillip and the usual suspects are:
1. Ignition Switch not in the "ON" position.
2. Engine Run Switch in the "OFF" position.
3. Discharged battery, needs to be 12.5 volts or better and be able to pass a load test if necessary, check battery terminals for damage or corrosion, check the battery cables at "BOTH" ends for loose, corroded, or broken connectors, "INSIDE" and outside the cable harness, perform connector wiggle test and check cables with an ohmmeter if necessary.
4. Bank angle sensor tripped and ignition/light key switch not cycled to the "OFF" position and then back to the "ON" position.
5. Faulty starter button/switch.
6. Faulty kickstand or clutch pull in switch/sensor.
7. Security alarm needs a reset.
8. Starter control circuit, relay, or solenoid faulty.
9. Main fuse or circuit breaker may be blown or faulty.
10. Electric starter shaft pinion gear is not engaging or over-running starter clutch slipping.

What do I need to buy and do to tune up on a 2006 blaster that has not been started in about one year

1.spark plug
Transmission oil.
Brake fluid
chain lube
Air filter unless yours is cleanable and in good shape.
If its been sitting for one year probably you are going to need to clean the carburetor old gas will block your jets.

Yamaha 2001 Raptor 660, need to clean my carb

Drain and replace the gas with fresh.
Remove the air cleaner and spray carb cleaner into the inlet. Work your throttle a little then put everything back together and try to start it.

Oil leaking from clutch push lever

Sounds like a worn seal. If you remove the cover and knock out the seal any atv dealer should be able to replace it.

Blaster wont start

Hi, If it starts on ether, then the plug is probably not too bad, spray your premix in instead and if fires OK then your carb is clogged, you can start with the float valve, open the drain screw on the float bowl and make sure it is filling, if it is, then its probably the jets or vanes are lacquered from sitting and they simply must be cleaned. Air pressure and a carb solvent works good when cleaning but other than that no magic. Good Luck, this should Fixya!

RE: ABOVE is what I'm reading @ the fixya Site @
http://www.fixya.com/PostAnswer.aspx?thid=1695323&prdid=986097&ctgid=391 so.......

Is your Yamaha a 2000 or 2001?
Did You try to start it several times, then it kicked in a little, then a little more, then
started spitting oil and won't even start?
Has it been sitting for quite some time?
Did you put new gas in it?
If so...................................................
Check the OIL and replace if needed..........................................
Put in a can of high test GAS...Spend at least $10.00!.................
Spray a lot of Starter Fluid ($3) into the Air Intake........................
Crank Engine!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !

When you get it running, IF IT'S STILL BLOWING OIL .............................
Add a can of CRANKCASE SEAL'S LEAKS (less than $10) for conditioning
the seals............................................and......................................................

NEVER USE YEAR OLD GAS AGAIN AND ADD FUEL CLEANER AT
EVERY OIL CHANGE!
