check engine light is on because selanoid for tourque converter is bad. Can't find replacement parts. Dealer says replace transmission. Any other solutons?

Check engine light is on because selanoid for tourque converter is bad. Can't find replacement parts. Dealer says replace transmission. Any other solutons?

There is no problem getting any transmission parts

You do realize the trans repair shops get deliveries
every morning mon to fri

There are many on line sites that are the same places
some shops get parts from, as well as their local daily
delivery from local wholesaler

The public can buy from any wholesaler,just go there

Ask trans shop who they use

Why would you be at a dealer with a 11 year old vehicle ?
Why would you be at a dealer for a trans problem ?

Dealers are for free Warranty Work only or buying
a vehicle

Scannign the PCM in order to know exactly what is the fault code that cause turn on "check engine light"; just with this fault code could send other details; ask your dealer about this.

Got a 93 Exporer Sport, check engine light on, car does not have power at times and surges, now it vibrates when at red light and has horrible rattle from underneath.

is the check engine flashing when its vibrating? if you its an indication you have a engine miss . the danger of running the car too long with a engine miss is it could brake your catilic converter. that gets pricey. if you have done a tune up in the last 100k that includes new spark plugs and wires please do so now. before you cause any damage.

I just rebuilt the motor and trans and now it dose not have rev. and dies when i put it into gear

Could be a bad torque converter clutch. When they get stuck, the tourque conveter is locked up all the time and will cause the engine to stall when you hold the brake and the trany is in gear. Did you replace the torque converter during the rebuild?
