Hi, my 99 Hyundai
Accent has been giving me trouble accelerating, it is very slow to build up any
sort of speed from starting, even when the clutch up the full way and foot on
the accelerator in low gears. It has been happening since I collected the car
from a garage that was fitting a new stereo after a break in about a week ago.
Do I need to get the clutch replaced or am I being far too optimistic thinking
there may be another less expensive problem here???
Would really appreciate any thoughts or advice on it

It definitly feels like the parking break is engaged when driving but it still rolls on a unless I pull it up. How would I check if it has completly disengaged?
Dangerously slowly and I have to maintain up to 4000 rpm to move up through the gears..... last week it was a comfortable 2000 rpm :( . It seems almost like the clutch is never fully released...
Really appreciate you helping me out by the way :)
i feel that my 1999 accent needs a new clutch also it is very hard to get into reverse in the cold and it grinds the gears when shifting.how do i change the clutch plate in this vehicle thank you fred
so ok for park brake, motor revs high and moves slowly in gears
it started that after being parked, maybe the parking brake seized up or did not completly disengage.
