What is the difference between PDK Cylinder engine & head to Kawasaki OEM Cylinder Engine & head?

Hi, Jomel after doing a little research it appears that PDK engine parts for Kawasaki are high-quality high-performance racing parts. The heads are ported and polished with modified exhaust hole and high compression configuration. I tried to convert the prices of the parts which I believed to be in Rupee's but it did not make sense
heads and cylinders were 3.55 million rp converts to $53,056 so I can't tell if the products are cheap or expensive. Perhaps you can enlighten me in the comment section below. How do i remove cylinder head and only the head

Not recommended by manufacturer. Release torque bolts. Remove excess gasket material without scratching the top head and head cover, or loose material from entering top end of engine. Also great opportunity to check rocker arms and springs for wear. Clean area with acetone. Micron gauge the head plate, any wear, head warped. Warped heads can be replaced or planed, consult dealer or machine shop. Replace gasket evenly. Torque bolts to maximum torque specifications by dealer or manufacturer. Allow head gasket to sit for 24-48 hrs. Check torque. Allow engine to idle for 30 min. Let sit. Resume proper driving habits.

What's wrong with my 2012 yamaha R6 & how much is it going to co$t

sounds like the head gasket to me
problem with all the r range of yamaha
you have to drop the engine out to do anything really

but before you do that run a compression check on all 4 cylinders
if the compression is low on 1 or more cylinders
it could be either your head warped (not so bad)
or worst case a cracked liner (barrel)

you can get the head gasket on ebay for around $40

but the main cost can depends
on whether you have overheated the engine or not
if it has overheated it can warp your head
then the head has to be run to an engineering shop
and have it skimmed

if it is a cracked liner get a second hand engine

but if you have not overheated the engine
just replace the head gasket
but personally i would still have the head checked out for cracks

What is the head bolt tension for

As in rebuilding an engine? It's very important to tension engine bolts to factory standard so you don't crack the engines head or stress the bolts also resulting in warping the head

I have a crack in my engine whats the best way to fix it?

It really depends on where the crack is located.
The engine is actually separated by the engine block and the cylinder head.
CYLINDER HEAD - located on the top of the engine where the spark plug is located
ENGINE BLOCK - located just below the cylinder head and separated by a gasket.

I believe you can buy them separately.
Because if there's a crack on the engine replacing the part that has a crack is the best thing to do to avoid loose compression and oil leakage.

How do you remove timing chain and re-time eng

If you need to remove the cylinder head, here's how. To remove the cam chain, you've got to also remove the left crankcase cover and flywheel.

First, you need to turn the engine over until the piston is at top dead center (TDC) of the compression stroke. Begin by removing the two round covers from the left side of the crankcase cover. Also remove the four tappet hole covers from the cylinder head cover. Turn the engine (in the normal direction of rotation) and watch the intake valves open - and close, then see that the exhaust valves open, then close. Now align the 'T' on the flywheel with the notch in the inspection hole. With all of the valves closed, the engine is at TDC of the compression stroke. Do not begin removal of the cylinder head cover until this is done - to avoid damage to the cover.

With the cylinder head cover removed, you will find two bolts attaching the cam chain sprocket to the camshaft. Turn the engine until you can get a 10mm socet onto the heads of the bolts and remove them. The sprocket will come loose and slide down onto the camshaft, enabling you to remove it an the camshaft.

Upon reassembly, set the cam timing by first setting the engine at TDC. Then, align the two marks on the cam sprocket with the gasket surface on the cylinder head. With the engine at TDC and the marks lined up, the cam timing is properly set.

The mechanic should disconnect the spark plug cable to the spark plug first, Then take off the spark plug to the engine head.Take the bolt off to the engine head.then open the cylinder head place then turn the piston at the top dead center .place a rubber around the piston so that there will be no dirt to fall inside the engine..Use sand paper or any equipment that can be use that will not scratch the top of the piston.do the same with the cylinder head also.Don't forget to clean the spark plug also using sand paper.then clean the piston and the spark plug and the cylinder head using gas so that dirt can't stain in the engine. The exhaust hose and the muffler should also be clean.use long stick of iron or metal to reach the dirt or carbon in the exhaust hose and or the muffler., but first take off or disconnect the exhaust hose and the muffler to the engine. Then clean, and after that return the cylinder head, the spark plug ,the spark plug cable, back to its place .And after cleaning the exhaust and the muffler ,then place it back also to the engine. Before you start doing this make sure that the engine is off.
