Re: my motor is missing & I found anonmatalic or atleast...
This is a very bad sign and usually means the pistons have been scarred by a foreign object or you bearings have worn beyond usability. you should not run the bike while it is like this as it will progressivly get worse till it seizes up completely

Bad new my friend,if you've found debris or metal shaving ,then you will have to disassemble completely your engine .Make an appointment to a Harley mechanic in order to make a complete repair....Sorry to tell you that...
speed sensor is located in front of engine oil dip stick on my o1 rk,in frt of starter motor,my speedo stoped working today, and the sensor has one 7/16 bolt head easy to get to with open end wrench.remove the bolt and slowly wiggle the sensor and lift up and pull out,my sensor was coverd with metel shavings,i wiped it clean with a clean rag,a magnet is also helpful to remove shavings from sensor but the rag worked fine, put the sensor back and bolt it back in,not to tight just good and snug.it fixed my problem.speedo works great again.
Try holding your key fob button down for about 20 seconds. This may resync the alarm. If that doesn't work, it's most likely in the speedo. You can try cleaning the speed sensor for the speedo. It is magnetic and picks up metal shavings which short it out. Pull it out of the trans and wipe off the shavings.
3rd gear has been destroyed probally tore the gears up on it.it not as difficult as your mecanic says.tare the gear box cover off and look inside check for shavings [metal] .or anything that doesnt look rite. could be as simple as a sheard pin.
if the shavings are black and brittle then you can safely say that they are from your piston rings, this could be due to the bearings or just general wear and tear. if they were stuck to the magnet inside of the sump then it will be bearings and your engine will be on a self destruction mission the more you ride it till you get it fixed
the spedo is electronic and works with a sensor located in the tranny case you can see it right by the starter end its the black plastic thing with a single 3/16 allen bolt in it remove it and make sure it is clean no metal shavings(its a magnetic hall effect sensor) if no shavings exist then you have a problem with the spedo and it can only be replaced harley wont repair them
