Question about 2005 Honda Shadow Slasher
I just installed a new battery in my VLX and after reassembly it will not start. After checking fuses we attempted to start the bike by placing a jumper across the two terminals of the cellenoid and the bike will fire and start, but it will not start from the starter button. Is there anything else we could be missing? Does the starter work off of a bendix spring perhaps?
I think the starter works off of a one-way clutch.
Go over your wiring once again. Make sure all the switches are in their correct positions.
Be sure the battery was properly charged before installation.
