Ello m8,,hows things,, get your tools out mr,,here goes ,, u will need to take the lower fairings off 1st,, u will need a old bowl or summat to catch the old oil,, place underneath,, right at the bottom of the engine sump, u will either see a 17mill size bolt head or allen key bolt,,un do that which is the drain plug,, leave that to drain till nothing comes out,, it would be a good thing to change the oil filter to while your there, which u will find behind the exhaust downpipes ,,stickin out the engine ,,wen all is changed ,replace the drain plug,, then on theengine oil filler cap, u will see a capacity level measurment,,ie summat like 3200ml or 4oooml,, this is the equvalent of 3200 being 3.2 litres,, or 4000 bein 4 litres,,also at the bottom of the casing where the filler cap is will i spy glass hole, with the level lines to view,, fill up to the second line,, if u have replaced the oil filter ,,add another half of a litre of oil in,, if u havent replaced it, then no need to add some,, wen the oil is in start her up let her run for 5mins or so,, then recheck the oil level,,,if u have probs ,,come back and il narrow down the process step be step, cheers m8,

Engine is equipped with safety oil shut off need to reset after oil change How?

Glen, I think the oil change light may reset it self after a few hours, but as far as a reset, I am not sure of. The actual oil sensor in the engine may be at fault, you can try cleaning, testing, and reinstall or just replace. Check the attached links, instruction and guides, ro search your self using, Google search your make and model# manual. Good luck .

I'm a woman trying to teach myself how to maintain my own car. I have a 2009 Dodge Journey 3.5 v6. I wanted to know basic instructions on how to change the oil myself? any help pls?

You could try some YouTube videos on similar models.
Its a messy job, and for most people easier to pay someone to do.
You have to remove the drain plug from the oil pan to drain the oil into a pan, then dispose of it safely, and change the filter, then refill the oil pan with new oil.

Does my 2009 kia sorrento 3.3 liter have a timing belt or timing chain and when should it be replaced if at all?

Dont know offhand to be honest ,if it is a timing chain then its running in oil and should ever need changing although the tensioners may need changing after 250,000 miles or so but again this depends how regular the oil is changed i recomend around 5000miles with a oil filter every thrid oil change but opinions vary on this
