Make sure that you have enough oil in the bike. if so there is nothing to worry about. Ducati's have the same sound.

Recently there is a lot of scratchy noise coming from an engine of my 2003 V-max when I rev it above 3000 rpm. It goes away when the clutch is pulled. Everything is functioning just fine, except that noise...

If noise goes away when clutch is pulled then it is a loose clutch basket, you need to replace clutch basket and clutch,They make complete replacment kits. Its not a big deal but I would stop riding it till you replace worn parts.Running it the way it is will result in a blown clutch and could do more damage. If you have some mechanical ability you can change this yourself.Good Luck Brian.....

My 2007 Yamaha yz450f has a noise when idling in neutral. If you pull the clutch lever in till you feel resistance, it stops. Do you think I need to replace my clutch or is it something more? THANKS!!!

No unless the noise is awefull and loud or random sometimes there sometimes not then they all pretty much do that - Assuming of course that your clutch is working fine wouldn't worry to much sounds like just normal

Noise coming from clutch . goes away when clutch is

this sounds like it could possibly be a noisy thrust bearing in the gearbox itself
