Reverse override button doesn't seem to change anything

I have a 2004 Grizzly 660 ATV. When I push the reverse override button while in reverse, the engine still cuts out. I thought the reverse override button was supposed to prevent this.

The override button on your Yamaha isn't supposed to override reverse. It will only disengage the rev limiter while moving forward when you have the "Diff Lock" engaged. When this happens, you will see your speedometer change to zeros. If you want to override your reverse, you will need to rewire a few things. I found the info I needed at "" to rewire mine.

Check all the connection on the override circuit. If you ride in muddy and sandy and wet conditions connections can become loose and therefore cause the feature to lack, or not work at all.

Make sure you are in neutral first. This is to stop people from selecting reverse when they aren't in control.

I have a 2004 grizzly 660 and all the lighting went out except my brake light. what happened?

I would venture to say that if you have submerged the ATV recently that you have blown the fuse or Corrosion has set in on thebgrounding wire for tthe lighting system.

2006 Yamaha Grizzly stuck in 4x4 switch will not work at all. Can push diff lock and the light will flash, but it will not lock, and light continues to flash.

Have you tried putting the ATV in reverse, drive 5 feet, then put in neutral and disengage the 4x4. I know that has worked with my 660. This has also worked with the diff lock.

I dont know were to put the water in the radaitor or how to get to it in a yamaha grizzly 660 atv

The filler is on top of the radiator on the left side of the bike, in front of the engine. Remove whatever fenders or cowlings are in the way to get access to the filler.

Hi I have problem with my raptor 660 runs well as I slowed my gas it my ***** and he has no power I change its spaplug did not change, is it that his can - etres the coil?

if it idles fine but when you give it gas you say you have no power? then you have a problem with your intake and exhaust valves.they need to be set.I have a 2003 660 raptor and it was doing the same thing and that fixed it.
