if coolant is coming out of the spark plug hole you have likely blown a head gasket or the block or cyclinder is cracked. are you sure that is coolant ?

Head gasket is bad. check for damage due to ever heating, or loose bolts if some one worked there before.

Motor has just started to knock a bit, turned off than restarted it, almost didn't want to start again, dragged a bit

Check coolant level,, had same happen to me. Had bad head gasket, all my coolant went into engine on top of pistons. Engine locked up, removed spark plugs, used remote start button, when engine rolled over, all coolant shot out spark plug holes.

Overheated and wont start

Depending on the severity of the overheat, I would suspect the engine may be hydrolocked. I would remove the spark plugs and then try to crank engine. If will then crank over, coolant coolant may emerge from spark plug holes. In which case internal engine damage is likely. ie head gasket, or cracked head/block.

Checking symtoms for a blown head gasket

If the gaskets are blown and allowing combustion gases into the cooling system a fast easy test is to top off cooling system and put the cap on. Start car and tach it up to redline 2-3 times. Turn off engine and try to pinch upper rad hose if hose is rock hard you probably do have a blown gasket. If it is blown and allowing coolant into the cylinder remove the spark plugs and turn the engine over with the key. If coolant comes out of the spark plug holes you have a blown gasket. Or you can run a compression test or buy a block tester with the test fluid that turns green when combustion gasses are detected.

Check to see if the ruin burton is on, if so out could be the switch isn't altering the connection to go the plug.

Coolant drained somewhere now car wont start

Remove the spark plugs and crank the engine. Look for coolant to come out of spark plug holes. If the leak isn't visible anywhere else it is possible it leaked pass the head gasket and into the cylinders hydro locking the engine and not allowing it to crank.

Engine overheated, then died won't restart. Replaced bad battery Engine turns over but still will not start??

Depending on how bad you overheated the engine you may have blown a head gasket and may be the cause of a no start situation. Pull the spark plugs out and look at them see if they come out wet once the plugs are out have some one crank the engine as you observe the plug holes and see if water or coolant comes out of any of the holes if you do get water out of any of the holes you definitely have a busted head gasket and will need to be replaced before it will start again.

My aprilia 125 moped will not start, there is a spark at the plug, stinks of flooded fuel, it's soaking the plug when kicked over, what's problem?

Sounds like the engine is flooded with gas.Turn the fuel off if you can.Remove the spark plug and move the wire away from the spark plug hole. Now turn the engine over like your trying to start it.See if gas comes out spark plug hole if yes engine is flooded. If it is flood that bad your exhaust will have fuel in it also. You should get a new spark plug before trying to start it again. If gas does not come out the plug hole.Install the new plug and try starting it with the fuel off.Hope this helps.
