Strip down the carb to expose the diaphrams. Avoid using airlines where possible because certain holes have small valves in which may get dammaged. Remove tuning screws, flush with carb cleaner. Hold diaphrams upto a light to check for holes.

In have a Stihl weed eater and is hard to start have been told needs new carberator as stale fuel has been left in does this sound right ?

The carbs nearly never stuff up, make sure the air cleaner filter is clean (rinse in petrol, allow to dry) remove the spark plug and check the "gap" is correct (nail file should slide snugly between it) and the plug itself is clean (wire brush any carbon deposits away).

My Husqvarna 324LX. Weed eater, Does not run well, Can I Adjust the Carpurettor

If it was previously running well, then the carburetor will not need adjusting, but it may need cleaning. If you have never done this before, take it to repair centre.

Husqvarna riding mower wont start. Makes a high pitched sound when trying to turn over.

The high pitched sound could mean something but normally not depending on age.
Things to check.
1. Make sure it's firing. Check spark plugs.
2. Check oil
3. Try to spin the flywheel by hand. It should be hard to turn. If it spins very easy with no effort STOP! This means the rod is broken and should be taken to a mechanic and most likely the engine will need to be replaced. But if it's hard to spin continue.
This may sound silly but make sure there is fule. And check the oil.
If you did not find any issue with the above issues and all of the safety devices are working properly then you have a carberator issue. You will then need to buy a carberator rebuild kit there not that expensive and remove the carberator clean it with carberator cleaner flush your fule lines and the mower should run. If you do not feel comfortable doing this find a local repair shop.
Briggs and Stratton have diagrams on there website for all of there engines and also there are YouTube videos that can walk you through the rebuild process. It's very simple to do.
Thanks.

How to adjust carberator

Some Husqvarna carbs require a special screwdriver to adjust them, some just use a mall flat head tuning screwriver.

Screw both H and L screws in. Then turn them out anticlockwise the following amounts to return them to standard.

H 3/4of a turn L1 full turn (Chainsaws)

Some equipment like blowers and strimmers are:-
H 2 1/4 turns out L 2 1/4 turns out

Husqvarna weed eater starts , but blows alot of smoke & then stalls out

Rod, Carb. may need adjusted, try loosening gas cap and start to see if cap vent plugged, there is a in tank fuel filter that you could fish out and remove to see if it is plugged. If still not running remove muffler and clean spark arrester screen, if screen plugged the trimmer will do this.
Check the attached links, instruction and guides, Good luck

MOWER ONLY RUN WHEN U PUT GAS IN CAB WANT START

Ok, so your not getting gas to carberator, or thru the carberator. Disconnect gas line from carberator, if gas is present thru fuel line, you have a carberator problem. Your rather meger with your mower information so this is all i can tell you. Wish i could be of more help.
