[email protected] how to change starter on 2002 buel x1 whitelightning i need help

First off, I don't have a lot of experience with Buells but I do know Sportsters and a Buell uses a Sportster engine basically. To remove the starter, you must drain the primary and remove the primary cover. You will probably have to loosen the primary chain adjuster underneath the primary cover. The two bolts that hold the starter on are inside the primary just above the clutch. There is a long bolt and a short bolt. Disconnect the battery cable from the battery negative post before you begin and then disconnect the positive cable from the starter. You'll have to remove whatever is necessary to get access to the starter from the right side of the bike. I hope this helps,

Good Luck

How do you change the oil in a 2003 Buel Blast and where do you put trans. oil? The book says it is somewhere under the seat. My son has a 2003 Buell Blast and wanted to change the oil for the first time....

Yep that is all correct. There are two drain hoses next to the footpeg, one is oil and the other is the crank breathers, just open both of them.
The transmission drain plug is on the bottom of the motor, and the easiest way to refill it is to stick a funnel in the transmission vent tube that comes up under the seat.

2002 m2 cyclone low, bike completly locked up rear wheel going from 2nd to 3rd. Pulling the clutch did not disingage the bike to neutral.

Congrats on needing major engine work. Both transmission and engine parts could be culprit. Not sure what you did to cause it - but it is a sure bet you shouldn't do it again.
