Remove wheel, remove brake, use a screwdriver to spread the gap between the pads( to make room for the new pads to fit on the disk...do not do this with the new pads you will mess them up) remove the 2 allen screw pins that hold the pads in place . if you are worried take out your phone and snap a pic of everything before you go to the next step. when the pins come out there is a spring plate in the top. dont forget it when you put the new pads in. installation is just a reverse of what you just did. be sure to squeeze the lever a few times when you are done re installing the calliper on the disk and check your brake fluid level under the seat--next to the battery on the right side- yeah under the starter relay---that thing with the red wir attached and the plug and clear cover.

Remove clips by easing toward disc and sliding out, push caliper over to one side and ease pad out taking care to remove any shims. repeat for other side. clean with brake cleaning solution and replace with new pads using a little copper grease on back of pad. do not operate levers while dismantled. check movement and re shim if required. Use a dealer if you are in any way not confident!

Backfiring on triumph st sprint 1999

After-market exhaust system or stock?

A lot of after-market mufflers don't cover up a backfire pop on over-run in the way that the stock system does. Look at The Marble Mod on GIXXER forums for ways to doctor the bike's emissions system to stop the popping.

Another cause of an over-run backfire may be a slight leak where the header pipes emerge from the cylinder head. Check the bolts are tight. Consider new copper washers.

I have a 2008 Triumph Sprint ST 1050. How do you adjust the foot gear change selector ?

There are 2 nuts on the bar from footrest to gear-change, 1 has a right-hand thread & the other has a left-hand thread.
Undo them both then turn the bar to alter its length thereby raising & lowering the gear-change height
