Both the 1995 and the 2003 RM250's have 5 speed transmissions. You will have to split the cases to see why the machine will not shift into fifth gear. You probably have a bent shift fork, an nick in the shift drum, or a damaged gear interlocking pins. http://www.bikebandit.com/1995-suzuki-rm250s/o/m6597#sch263330

NEED TO KNOW FLOAT LEVEL HIGHT. REPLACED FLOAT AND NEEDS LEVEL ADJUSTED. FUEL OVER FLOWING WHEN BIKE RUNNING.

the common rule is to have it adjusted within 2mm of where the gasket meets the carb and bowl. get a clear hose about 6 in long and connect to where the fuel is flowing out of while bike is off. bend it to where the side of the hose runs up and down next to your carb. it will show where your level is. then keep adjusting till its around the gasket. also check to make sure the rubber valve isn't missing or damaged in your float.

Think i put too much 2 stroke in my rm 250 now it wont start

Drain the fuel and refill it with the correct ratio fuel, it may take a few kicks, but it should start. Cleaning the plugs would not go astray either.

Hi .... Try this site for the oil.

Other problem sounds like carb or air filter. Does it spit back through carb ?
