Question about 2003 Suzuki AN 400 Burgman
Test the battery voltage while you are trying to start the scooter. The surface charge can be over 12v but under load drop to well under 9, indicating a faulty battery.

I had a very similar problem last week. Coming home from work, the bike went dead with no electrics at all. Battery and fuse ok. Turned out that the red wire from starter solenoid was broken internally, if wiggled, then power came back. So i cut it off the plug at solenoid and crimped a connector on it, and then connected it to the red terminal on the solenoid. Bingo, it now runs better that it ever has. One proviso here though, by doing what i did, it removes the fuse from the circuit, so not ideal, and needs sorting at some point.
