Im still looking for the fuel pump on my 2005 yamaha roadstar silverado, and fuse if any !

Here are diagrams of the 2005 Yamaha Road Star fuel systems.
First, select your Silverado in the box that says All Trim Levels.

Your 2005 Yamaha ROAD STAR revs your heart Genuine Fuel System parts from...

Once you're done with that, go back on your internet browser and in the box that says Fuel System, click that drop down and select Electrical System, unfortunately, I don't see any fuses in electrical system diagrams, the pump should be part of the electrical system, but I don't see that either in the electrical system diagrams.

Fuel pump is not working

Check for power at pump. If power, replace pump. If no power, check fuse. If fuse is ok, check electrical from fuse to pump.

Yamaha 200hp 2001 manual

  1. Fuel
    • A common problem with an easy solution, Yamaha boat engine trouble could arise due to inadequate levels of fuel or engine oil. All Yamaha outboards take unleaded gasoline as a main fuel source with a pump octane rating of 86 or higher. The type of engine oil varies according to motor size and can be found in the "Specifications" section of a particular outboard's owner's manual (See Resources).
    Electrical
    • Problems with the electrical system can also prevent a Yamaha outboard's engine from working correctly. Troubleshoot the electrical system, first removing the main fuse that's located underneath the electrical panel on any electric-starting outboard. If the connection at the center of the fuse is broken, it must be replaced by a fuse of the same amperage. The battery should also be removed, cleaned and fully charged when troubleshooting the electrical system.

    Spark Plugs
    • Owners should also remove and inspect the spark plugs during the troubleshooting process. If the insulator tip of any plug is burned, that spark plug should be replaced. The number and type of spark plug depends on the specific outboard. Additionally, owners should ensure that each spark plug gap is set to the width stipulated in the owner's manual (see Resources).

1989 Goldwing has a new battery, but will not stay chargred. It will crank, run for 15-20 minutes, and cut off. After sitting will start back, and the cycle repeats itself.

DOES IT HAVE AN ELECTRIC FUEL PUMP? FUEL INJECTION,or CARBURETORS?Check Fuel Filter? Fuel pump relay?Fuse or circuit breaker? For the pump circuit? Does it have an electric fuel shut off switch, in the ignition circuit?
How about an Engine oil pressure switch in the fuel pump circuit?Or a temperature coolant switch in the fuel circuit? See wiring diagram, and circuit protection!

Would the starter rely make bike cut out and not rev high if its not working

hi,not normally, the starter relay only supplies power to the starter, but in saying that, check the feedline(red)from the relay back to the fuse box, some bikes have the electrical supply feed taken from that relay to supply power to the rest of the electrical system..cheers

Electronic Fuel Pump

It turned out that the ignition key was faulty and it cut out my fuel pump and power to my spark plug but all other electrics worked. Tried my spare key and could hear fuel pump working pressed starter and it fired up how bizarre is that. so problem sorted.
