most likely has nothing to do with no mufflers. u prob have bigger more obvious problems if u have to use starting fluid to start. how does the engine run while driving, and at idle after warm?

disconnect the battery cables for 5 min and try that!

sounds like over drive switch or transmision box

mitsubishi l200 will not start . jeep has been sittin up for 2 years tried to jump start it startd after a while it stop with a bit of a smell of burning so i went got a battery no it wont start and the gloe plug light its coming on now . i think myself a fuse or relay is gone but ive no manul for the jeep .

2. do a compression check on engine

its all in the key !!!the igntion cylinder has two orange wires on it after all the years of starting this car the wires break of !!!! try this b4 u look any where else

If it is standard check your throw out bearing

Have you changed out the starter, sure sounds like a starter or starter wiring issue.

ok having that much oil over the limit will not matter at all ,,if it does not turn over at all check your battery is ok /full,,if it is and it still wont turn over the only other problem it could be is the starter motor is had.. its jammed or seized try tapping the starter motor with a little force if it starts its on its way out because u had to tap it to start it . if it still doesent it has seized but that will be the problem ..

also just make sure all your wiring is still on the starter motor
