Sounds like it is a short. Start checking all your main wiring and make sure that nothing has rubbed showing bear wire and that nothing is grounded on your system. The short in the loom if VERY common due to vibrations

Hi, Lynn if you have access to compressed air you need to blow out the excess moisture in the fuse panel and all electrical components that may have gotten wet otherwise you will just have to wait until everything dries out naturally, may take 2-3 days depending on where you live for more information about your question and valuable "FREE" downloads that you will need please click on the links below. Can a bad voltage regulator cause the main 30 amp fuse to blow?

Usually a bad regulator will only cause problems with charging...
Sounds like you've got a short somewhere in the wiring...I'd start by checking the ignition switch wiring and the connections going into the fuse box.

Suzuki intruder 800. Dead. Started bike, ran briefly. Died. Now no power to lights, starter, nothing. I checked the fuses at the relay, checked battery charge. Its good.

When you say "the fuses at the relay", I'm taking that to mean the system fuses located behind the left crankcase cover just aft of the coolant reservior. Have you checked the main 30 amp fuse located under the saddle? There should be two 30 amp fuses under the saddle; one is a spare, the other is active. If the main fuse blows out, nothing will work.

My harley sportster blows a fuse thin shuts off . it will not start until i replace it. what dose that fuse go to?

ignition system or main fuse. You need to find whats causing it to blow.A wire being pinched or cut could be repaired easy enough, but if u continue to replace the fuse you may destroy even more of the wire harness.

Can a voltage regulator/rectifier if not working properly blow the main fuse. I have a 2002 v-star 1100. I was riding when all of a sudden the bike died on me. I lost all power no light, turn signals,...

YES!
Good link here:
http://www.flygenring.dk/yamaha/artikler/1100ChargingSystem.pdf

Symptoms:
Lights flickering at times and/or battery gets hot to the touch

Problem:
Reglator/Rectifier

When the regulator dies, it allows as much as 19 volts to appear across the battery. This is not good. It will cook the battery and the battery could even explode. Fuse can not stand up to this!

I have a 2008 Suzuki ATV King Quad 400 - everything works fine except the ignition fuse keeps blowing. I used to be able to change it & it worked for a while but now today everytime I put a new fuse in...

I had same problem on mine, just discovered there is another hidden 30 Amp (green) fuse that was blown. If you follow the red cable from the battery, you will find a connector module. Lift that module out and disconnect the wires leading to the rear of the ATV (one plug, pulls out easily). You will see a semi-transparent plastic cover on this module, remove it and you'll see the 30 Amp fuse and the cover should have a spare in it. Replace the fuse, cover, and plug the wires back in - re-seat the module and see if it starts.

I'm still not sure what is causing all these problems, I'm suspecting it could be a bad battery. For now just carrying a lot of spare fuses.

1999 plymouth neon fuses

Start by checking for a wire shorting to ground if that checks good you will need to go thru the circuit and check the amp draw at each component, fuel pump, ignition coil, ect. until you find the bad part
