The oil filter is located just above the dip stick/ oil mesuring stick.
The oil cover is held in place with three bolts.
The lower bolt has a spacer bewteen the cover and the engine.

Transmission fluid change, how much fluid, what kind are there any filters.

Hi. This particular vehicle will hold approximately 3.4 Quarts of standard automatic transmission fluid. The filter must be changed, as well. If you are running the 4wd version of this vehicle, I would recommended the Lucas Semi-Synthetic Multi Vehicle ATF brand. For a 2wd unit, I would recommend the Castrol High Mileage ATF brand.

NOTE_ Most manufactures will require a special transmission oil fill tool. This is usually not available to the general public. In this case, you will need to refer to your dealer for proper procedure. Usually there will be a transmission dip stick visible under the hood area if your transmission oil can be changed with the more familiar procedures used throughout the years. Additionally, if this is a standared transmission. Any gear oil will do. Preferably differential gear oil(standard blend)

I need to know the type of oil and filter for an oil change ?

Your Honda dealer can supply you with the correct oil filter. If you don't have a dealer near you, an auto store or farm store can usually order a Fram oil filter equivalent. DO NOT use car oil in your motorcycle, it will shorten wet clutch and transmission gear life. Honda recommends 10w-40 or 20w-50 weight oil with a JASO MA rating. Any oil that says "energy conserving" on the label should be avoided.

Change the lube oil filter on a 84 Honda CBX250

The filter cover is located just above the dipstick and retained by three set bolts 8mm hex. Main cover seal is by a large O ring and there is a smaller O ring at the discharge port. The filter element is a paper type renewable cartridge and is fitted with a spring on the inner side and a rubber seal against the cover (outer side). Best to change the oil and filter when engine is warm/hot - caution hot oil! Thanks FixYa you were a help.

Honda cbx 6 clutch rattle at idle and low rev hirendouse

Glazed alternator clutch plates? Kind of a ratcheting sound? Common when oil wasn't changed or sitting unused too long.
1. Easy fix - drain oil, remove filter. Add diesel fuel to crankcase. Turn engine over. let sit and drain. Refill with new nonsynthetic oil and replace filter. Warm up. Drain, remove filter. Refill with fresh nonsynthetic oil, and install new filter.
2. Harder, but better. Remove plates and clean or replace them.
