I had an 07, I had to remove the lower and side fairings and then the bolts are visible, dont just lift it up because wires and the fuel line will be connected and tight. When you lift it, lift easily so you dont just rip everything, you should be able to lift it high enough to disconect the wires without damage.

Hi im having this problem too, its happening on my CBR 600 f2 1995, it usually happens when I give it some between the revs 6000 - 11000 it feels as though the engine cuts out then back on, it only happens for a split second, I have recently had a new regulator rectifier fitted along with a new battery could this be causing the problem, its only happened since then. Also its only happened since I last filled up with fuel, could it be a dodgy batch of fuel?
See if your bike is in the upright position. Then also check if that little round plastic effort with the liquid metal in is still intact. It has a silly plastic ribg with a bolt through and if the ring breaks, it could perhaps not be in the upright position. it sits between the lights, if you ever fall and it is not in the upright position, it cuts the power to the engine to cut it out. This could also be a relay problem.
check fuses for head light..check battery to insure >12.4v minimum! if not correct voltage you may have a cell going bad...take #1 spark plug out hang it to side of frame crank..does it have a big bluish spark? if it looks redish purple no good..pulse generators need to be ohmd out for opens. if you"ve got "Good Spark" and "Good Voltage" push start the bike! if it runs... but runs crappy then its a fuel issue which a can of Sea Foam from Autozone will cure $10 pour 1/3 can into 2 gallons fuel drive for 10 to 15 miles it will clean out all injectors and extract moisture from the tank if you have any in there. let me know if this helps any. thanks.
The petcock is what the fuel flows through when it comes out of the gas tank. It probably includes:
* A switch with positions for On, Off and Reserve.
* A fuel line going to the carburetors.
* A vacuum hose attachment which attaches to a carburetor which tugs on a rubber diaphram to let gas flow through.
* An overflow/drip valve from the vacuum area.
It's located right under the tank on the rear/left side.
