Chemical metal / epoxy weld
you get all sorts of different types in tubes for different applications.
make sure the one you choose is suitable for all metals and is heat resistant, most are non porous.

i stupidly cracked the sump when jacking up my bike to remove the forks DOH!

bike has been leak free for a few months now- beats getting a new sump. hope this helps!

What is the recommended oil for forks on the 1996 honda magna

depending on your weight and the type of riding you do its kind of a loaded question, normal fork oil will range from 5 to 20wt so depending on what your tipping the scales at lets just say the bigger the rider, the thicker the oil, now next question is what type of rider are you? mountain pass riding or just straight down the highway? have you had any problems with bottoming out at all? if so go with the heavy wt but also consider either shimming the stock springs or just replacing with an aftermarket spring kit. if your into just floating down the interstate then my friend keep it on the lite side.

The 1996 fireblade holds 3.6 litres of 10 w40 sf grade engine oil. With the engine warm, Place machine on a suitible stand, remove filler cap, place a container under engine to catch oil, undo sump oil plug with a 17 mm spanner in an anticlockwise direction, be carefull not to alow hot oil onto your skin as it will burn, while this is draining into a container, undo and remove oil filter, with suitable tools, when replacing follow instructions on filter packet, top up engine oil until it meets the required level, start engine for a couple of mins, allow oil to settle before rechecking and if ness top up to the correct level

Just got a 2003 honda 750 magna and wondering where to check the tranny oil. it shifts a little loud.

Your engine and transmission share the same oil. If your engine oil is good then so is your transmission. You might want to think about an oil change if it is due. If you want to cut down on the noise a bit switch to a good synthetic like Amsoil.

I need to clean out my carbs for my 82 honda 750 how easy is it? is it worth the time? How much usually does it cost to get done professionally? I also have a cracked crank case cover, and so it leaks oil,...

here is a clue you need to follow, i have been working on bikes for years, the v4 engines are the hardest to remove/install/and clean take it to a dealer and let the deal with the headache yo will be glad you did, the crankcase cover is easy to replace, just buy the gasket before hand and once you have it loose remove it very slowly, to get the carbs done by a shop you are looking at about 125.00

96 Honda magna headlight bulb needs replacement

There are 4 bolts on the base of the headlight. Take those out and the entire assembly comes off the bike. Then there are two screws on the bottom of the assembly. Remove those and the lamp pulls away from the casing. Be careful not to drop it. When you get the lamp off the casing there will be a rubber "cup" that you have to pull off of the base of the bulb after you pull the plug off. Then take the clip off and you just pull the bulb out of the lamp. Be careful not to touch the new bulb with your fingers. Use a cloth or something to protect the new bulb from the oil on your skin and dirt.
