Yes it can be fixed what you need is a electromagnetic gun or degaussing gun, plug it an just rotate it in front of the tv set in clockwise direction the color patches will be removed.

Is there glued in magnets on flywheel

because of the intermittent load imposed as the magnets pass the coil, I seriously doubt that "glue " would be used
the magnets would be fixed in during the manufacturing process of the flywheel
if you consider that the magnets have lost their properties then a new flywheel is the fix

1997 1400 Intruder with no spark. Replaced ignition module and pickups still no spark

This is old school, you need to check and make certain your magneto armature is still magnetized. See if a Steele object will stick to it. If not it wont ever generate enough magnetism to cause a spark. You can re-magnetize it by applying DC 12 volt current thru the field sides for about 60 seconds. Once engine is running the rotation of the armature will fully re-magnetize its self. Since your system combines charging, spark timing and ignition pulse to the coils it has a lot of demand on it. Setting for a long time will cause this condition or something like hooking the battery up backwards for a split second can de-magnetize it. 70 years ago this was a common problem with cars, trucks, boats and motor cycles.

Speedometer and fuel gauge stop working where are fuses

The fuses are under the seat. They have a black cover with orange writing on it. In an attempt to fix your speedo problem, remove the speed sensor from the right rear of the transmission housing. It is held in place with an allen bolt. Remove the bolt and twist the sensor slightly while pulling it up. Once it is out, check the magnet on the bottom for debris. Clean off any debris (metal shavings) and reinstall it. Ride the bike and see if this solves the problem.

Got power from starter switch to the solenoid but no power to the starter motor can anyone help.

Take a wire and jump the two posts on the solenoid or touch the two cables together. If your starter works, then you need a new solenoid. If you hold the starter button and tap on the starter with a plastic hammer and the starter works you need new starter brushes. Anything else wrong with the starter and you need to replace the starter assembly , the manufacturer does not make replacement parts for the starter.

No, the magnets are, as you know, simply glued to the rotor housing. The glue sometimes breaks loose and the magnets fall off. I'm surprised that you've run into this as much as you have. I've been working on Harleys for years and have only seen one magnet fall off. I've also seen one rotor that the magnets were not magnetized very well. This has been a problem lately. I'd talk to the dealer that I got the parts from as Harley is aware of the problem. I don't know if they'll make them good or not though.

Good Luck

How do you fix a 2005 suzuki 1400 speedometer it just quit working

Have you had the front wheel off recently?

There is a magnetic speedometer sensor at the front wheel that is easily and often broken if not aligned property. Replacing that magnetic sensor should cure it.

Also, there is a wiring harness under the speedometer. Remove the 3 bolts holding on the speedometer, and carefully lift it up and check to make sure the harness is plugged together tightly.

Right rear turn signal has power to the bulb but still wont light. test light will flash, but bulb wont. the same bulb works on other side..

I would have to say it would be the ground wire in that turn signal. You are getting a ground with the tester so to test this take a piece of wire and find the ground side of the socket for the bulb wich is the housing that holds the bulb in. Take the wire and strip both ends. Insert the bulb and touch the housing with one end and the other end touch it to a good ground on the bike and if it lights then you have a bad ground somwhere.

ST3 Q&A owners?

1. Is that tank steel - will it hold a magnetic bag? Steel - I use a bag that mounts to the fuel filler and does not touch the tank. 2. What mileage do you get when touring, not thrashing? City, low light comes on at 125 miles (stop start 20 mile commute) takes 4.0-4.2 gals each fill. Highway, light comes on 150-170 miles, same fill. 3. What is the real fuel tank capacity - full to fumes? Never experimented with it. Book says just over 5, I have never put more than 4.7 in it. 4. What are the recommended service intervals? 600 mile and then every 6000 5. How expensive has dealer service actually been? 600 about $320, 6000 about $600 depending on work 6. Fun factor? Lots
