Question about 2001 Honda CR 500 R
The bike was working fine last year then at the end of the year it just started to rev really high when I would slow down or put it in neutral or need to stop ,the bike wants to keep reving and keep going.Once it is whined up it doesn't want to whined down...just like I'm giving it shots of gas.I had to use the kill switch to shut her down because of this.Hand on the clutch downshifting and the bike is still reving full on.This is **** someone PLEASE HELP ME...........THANKS...(cleaned the air filter and it didn't help a bit)
Take some wd 40 & spray around the carb boot while running to see if the idle drops for a few seconds. sounds like you have an intake side air leak causing a lean condition making the motor rev high.
