That is the adjustment for your speed control. Tighten it to the right and it will hold your throttle in place at the speed you are going. I would advise not using it however as it can delay your stopping distance in an emergency. It is not nearly as safe as cruise control which comes on some Harley Davidson Touring Models .

932 ariens shuts engine down as clutch is engaged to throw snow

Your problem would be in a safety shutdown switch.
some Ariens blowers have a two handed safety switch whitch is located on back of blower right lower side (inside of body)
You have to remove 4 transmission pan bolts to see it.
The other location is under the metal face plate between the handle bars.
Some of them have a third handel on right side of handle bars that has to be depressed to run auger .

Adjusting chain tension

There are a number of different types of adjusters, front manual adjusters, side manual adjusters and tooless adjusters, the two latter systems require you to slacken the bar nut/nuts and with a flat blade screw driver turn the screw clockwise to increase chain tention, the chain should touch the bar rails all around the bar with no sagging on the under side of the bar, with a gloved hand you should be able to pull the chain around easily to make sure its not too tight, with the tooless adjuster slacken off the bar nut/nuts and turn the thumb wheel down to increase the tention.

Trying to put chain and saw together

If the saw has a chainbrake make sure it is de activated by pulling the hand guard fully to the top handle, you should hear an audible clip when it locks, remove the the bar nut/nuts and remove the side cover, if the chain adjuster is in the cover screw it right back, if the adjuster is in the crankcase screw it right back, place the guide bar onto the bar bolts, loop the chain over the sprocket and lay it around the guide bar with the cutters on the top of the bar facing away from the saw, if the adjuster pawl is in the crankcase locate it into the adjuster hole in the guide bar, now re fit the side cover, if the adjuster pawl is in the cover make sure it locates into the adjuster hole in the guide bar, re fit the bar nut/nuts finger tight, screw the adjuster up until the chain sits snuggley around the whole guide bar, pull the chain around the bar manually with a gloved hand, this will make sure it turns freely and is correctly located in the sprocket, hold the end of the guide bar up and tighten the nut/nuts

My maxi cosi tobi seat wont recline

Yes it seems to be a design fault. Has happened twice on our Tobi seat.

To fix, lay the seat on its back.

Locate the 3 Torx head screws middle front and rear left and right. You'll need a Torx screwdriver or head of the correct size. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Torx

Undo the screws, then pop the four catches at each corner with a flat-head screwdriver and remove the base.

Look at the recline mechanism, you'll see large bar at the rear (both sides) which is meant to be there. At the front, on one side or the other, you'll see a smaller bar which is part of the hinge for the recline handle. It's slipped sideways and into one of the recline mechanism slots.

Jiggle the recline handle and push the hinge bar back into the centre. It might help to use gravity - lay the seat on its side with the blocking bar uppermost. I can't see a way to prevent this slipping out again over time.

Snap the base back on and replace the Torx screws.

To open pushchair i need to turn it upside down ,get on my hands and knees and make a complete fool of myself ,i must be doing something wrong.....please help

Hi,

The best advise that I can give is the following:

Kneel behind the stroller.
Push in button 1 (the left hand-side) with the heel of your hand, whilst keeping this depressed, push button 2 with the heel of your hand, then whilst your hands are still pushing the buttons in, use your thumbs to push the frame forward - the buggy will then semi fold forward. Push the cross-bar between the handle bars away from you, this will release the elbow joint.
Then, simply push the pram toward the floor, this should fold the pram fine.
NOTE this does take a little practice, but if you stick with it, you will get it.

I hope this helps.

How do you tension the chain on a Homelite i3850b chainsaw?

loosenthe 2 nut that attatch the bar to the machine, only just loosen a fraction, enough for the bar to slide when you screw the adjustment screw.the adjuster screw will be just under those nuts with the slot facing outwards or on the front of the machine right along side the bar with the slot facing forward. have a li ttle practice screwing it in and out till you get the idea. then pull the chain upwards with one hand lift the chain up as far as you can ,when you release it you should have the slack hanging under the bar, thenscrew the adjusterscrew clockwisea a little at a time until the chain barely toutches the bar then tighten the nuts holding the bar ,you may have to try acouple of time to get it right but you now know the principle a bit of practice and you will be right.one thing dont over tighten it, just so it slides smoothly along the bar and plenty of oil any probs justcome back to me ____youdoit

My Oreck beater bar is not turning. The bar is free of hair or strings, the motor is working, just the bar will not move

If the motor is working then check the drive belt. There's a door on the right hand side of the Oreck that comes off with a cross head screw. Check the drive belt isn't broken. If its intact then its a possibility that the beater bar has seized up - beater bars from Oreck are available although you should check EBay to see if you can get a cheaper part. Sounds like a drive belt problem though.
