Is your water going down in the battery? If so it may be charging much too high a rate.

I have a 97 Honda CBR 1100 xx Super Blackbird. What fuel should she be running - leaded or unleaded?

Leaded fuel is not sold anymore. Unleaded is the only choice you have. On a sport bike I might run the higher octane fuel for a little better performance.

My 2002 CBR 1100 Blackbird is dumping coolant

If it's coming from the overflow, try a new radiator cap first. They do get weak and won't hold the proper pressure. Be sure to check the pressure rating labled on the cap and replace it with one of equal rating. Good luck!

My blackbird has a new reg & bat and on my meter is charging ok..but the bat goes flat why

HI, FIRST THING TO CHECK IS, DOES THE BATTERY LOSES CHARGE WHEN IT IS DISCONECTED FROM THE BIKE, NOT THAT UNUSUAL TO HAVE A FAULTY BATTERY.
SECONDLY WHEN REPLACING THE BATTERY WITH THE KEY TURNED OFF DO YOU HAVE ANY SIGN OF DRAIN IN RESPECT OF A SPARK AT THE LEADS WHEN YOU TOUCH THE LIVE OR EARTH TO THE BATTERY POLE, THIS WOULD INDICATE A DRAIN

2002 cbr 1100 xx been sitting for 5 years just put new battery in & fresh gas now it is flooding fuel into crank case

Had the same problem with mine, been stood for 1 year. Put a new battery on it everything was fine passed the M.O.T. Waited until the end of the month to tax and it wouldn't start. Plenty of petrol in the tank, wouldn't crank over on the starter, but could hear the fuel pump kicking in. Looking for a fault and kept trying it, checked for loose wires and blown fuses to no avail. Then i noticed fuel light came on checking tank was empty. Wondering where the fuel had gone I found the engine had flooded into the crank. Stripped everything down found the problem was neutral switch was broke. Check this hope it helps you, mine in the 1999 fuel injected model. Cheers Kev :o)

Put in new battery still no power. was riding and everything went dead. the bike is a 98 cbr 1100

Hi and welcome to the site,

Initially, have you checked the 30A main fuse? It would be inside the starter relay. To locate the starter relay, follow the cable from the battery's + terminal.

Good luck and thank you for asking.
